Just returned form a lovely short break at Arhodiko Room was lovely, pool was quiet. Staff could not have been more helpful and we really enjoyed our stay. We’ll be back.

The hotel regarding its cleanliness and the attention to detail was great. I did not imagine at the price I paid I would be welcomed by such a nice room. It didn't have a view, the toilet was a bit cramped and it had no screens at the balcony door but other than that the bed was comfortable, the sheets couldn't have been any cleaner and the overall room was very cozy. I was pleasantly surprised when after leaving for an hour or so the second day, I came back to find the cleaning services cleaning the room. The staff was wonderful and, although I didn't ask for anything specific, they seemed willing to accomodate me in any requests I had. Oh and mind that the photos shown on the website or in the app (depending on where you're looking from) are almost 100% representative of the room you are to face after you arrive (at least it surely was for me).

It's a traditional Cretan Village style place that you can enjoy being a tourist. The breakfast included stuff that any local would usually eat, you do not choose but get a variety that is available this day, omelets, eggs, pies, yogurt etc. If you rent a car to move around the island and need to organize a group event of a sort - it's perfect. There is an orthodox little chappel on the territory. There is a taverna and a minimarket, treatment like you are guest at your friends house style. I personally think it's amazing for winter time, it has a fireplace in each room. A/C is also there. Wifi - only available at Reception. If you have troubles walking, think of it and prepare, as it has uphills and stone pavements. You can get iron from Reception too. Very friendly people.

Our whole family loved our stay at Eva Ivoni's apartment. The place was very clean and cozy, with a lovely little balcony overlooking the swimming pool and a beautiful garden full of trees. The location was excellent – a great beach was just a 5-minute walk away, the bus stop was right in front of the building, and there were plenty of good restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Eva is a truly kind and helpful host. She always responded quickly and supported us whenever we needed anything. I had some health issues during our stay, and when I asked her about seeing a doctor, she not only found the right specialist and made an appointment for me but even offered to drive me to the clinic in her car. I didn’t expect such warm hospitality, and I’m very grateful. I highly recommend staying at Eva’s place if you’re visiting Heraklion!

The hospitality was outstanding, just like the food made with fresh, local ingredients. The quietness and the views were almost otherworldly and at night, so many stars were visible in the sky. The pool was nice and well-cleaned. In summer, it's a little colder than down in the valleys which is a welcome change. Be sure to bring a cardigan, sweater or light jacket with you even in summer as the wind can be strong and at night, it can get cold.
