Location, location, location! A 2-3 minute walk to the beautiful Ag. Isidoros beach! Our family of 4 spent 3 nights here in late June 2025. There were two A/C units in our apartment and they kept the apartment at a good temperature despite hot weather. The bed for adults was large and comfortable. The teens said their sofa beds were comfortable too. Best shower design we had all trip and hot water 24/7. Internet could go down at times on the top floor but always came back up fast. We loved the views we had from the top! The hostess left us some treats and water in the fridge upon arrival which we appreciated. There are a couple mini markets very close by for any needs. There are 2 street parking spots right in front of the apartment; otherwise you need to find a spot in the beach lot or another lot about a 5 min walk away toward Plomari. We only had to use one of the lots on the weekend when a lot of people had come to the beach. The rooms were super clean and the hostess was very kind. Highly recommend!

Being in a location very close to the center was a big advantage. Having three air conditioners and a washing machine in the property provided great comfort. The interior of the house was newly renovated and spotlessly clean. Every need had been considered in the property (there was even an iron, an ironing board, and mosquito repellent in every room). Nikoleta, the host, had thought of everything we might need, responded to all our questions very quickly, and was extremely helpful. She even helped us with a restaurant we wanted to book, making the reservation herself on our behalf — for which I would like to thank her again. Since the house is located slightly uphill, she carried all our suitcases and belongings to the house so that we wouldn’t have any difficulty, and we didn’t get tired at all. The house had everything we could possibly need (coffee machines, stove, cezve, coffee, even ice cubes in the freezer) and more (cold water and fruit in the fridge as a gift). The house was very modern in design, new, and spotlessly clean. Thank you very much for everything. When we come to Lesvos again, we will definitely stay here!

Worth seeing for some nice beaches or coves around, and...

Worth seeing for some nice beaches or coves around, and going to some nice restaurants. It doesn't seem to retain the old character the way it probably used to, and yet it doesn't offer the vibrancy and / or cultural dynamism that are typical of many other centres on the island (Mytilene, Sigri, Molyvos). It is a bit of a sleepy place, stripped of the working class identity it must have had, and currently seemingly attempting to attract a new wave of tourism that is in a more extractive and shallow mode. It has a lot of potential though, and hope it finds itself and its unique quality again.

This is a wonderful hotel located right outside the center...

This is a wonderful hotel located right outside the center of Plomari. It's about a 10 min walk to the main area. Hermes, the host, is incredibly friendly and looking out for each guest's needs. The views from each room are incredible and the rooms are spacious, clean, and lovely. There is a small beach right next to the hotel that is semi-private. I was incredibly pleased with Frini Studios and recommend it highly.

Plomari is picturesque and retains the traditional architecture of the Aegean. It suits especially tourists that prefer less noisy holidays, nice food at seafront taverns and endless amphitheatric views to the sea. It can also serve as a base for various excursions to seaside and mountain villages and spots.

It's a beautiful city worth seeing at least once. Subsequent visits will depend on your priorities and preferences. It's a city with a unique character and a historical fabric. There are a variety of swimming spots, and the water quality is excellent everywhere.

Plomari is a small but charming town.

Plomari is a small but charming town. You can reach it by car or rental car. It's not well-suited to public transportation. Because the roads are narrow and winding, driving should be cautious and slow.

We found it a bleak village with many dirty spots.

We found it a bleak village with many dirty spots. The surrounding area wasn't exactly ideal for driving. Lots of olive trees but little variety. We ate at Mama Katerina once. There was no menu. We received a plate with a straw of overcooked broccoli and a beetroot cut into quarters. Then two tasteless grilled fish. These were charged separately for 36 euros.

We had a fantastic experience during our stay in Lesbos last week. The hotel was very comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. A special thanks to Giannis, who was working at the bar and also helping with the hotel—he was incredibly kind and attentive, which made our stay even more enjoyable. He prepares delicious coctails. The hotel owners were also very friendly and welcoming. Overall, a great place to stay—we would definitely love to come back!

This is the second time in Sapphio Plomari but this time with more people. The rooms are large and spotlessly clean, all tools are available and in working condition, and the location is excellent. Close to restaurants, the beach is 1 minute just across the road, several markets around and the scene of the sea and lovely white-blue Orthodox church right in front of the room is just so beautiful, calming and so Greek. The owners are lovely.

A fantastic 3 days holiday in heaven. It was a lovely experience to have an isolated villa just on the beach. Stratis, the house owner, was lovely as well, he started out journey before it started by helping about the road, took us from somewhere to take us to villa. Villa was outstanding and kids enjoyed the 3 nights isolated beach experience, Plomari is 10 minutes drive when you want to socialize.
