Great historic city, very vibrant and full of life. We have visited archeologic and Byzantium museum, explored Ano Polis and city core. Definitely lots of things to see and experience. There are restaurants and fast foods for any budget each serving amazing food. I would recommend to visit the city only if you also go to the other places in Greece. The historical heritage here is not the most impressive, and the nearest beach is an hour away by public transport. Not really a place to go again...greek people are a bit more rude, double face and nose up to handle with. the place is also a bit dirty, smelly and not well arranged for parking, living, walking, cycling and going around at all. Bad roads and drivers. the menu in the restaurants is poor and the shops do not offer too much variety of foods and drinks. Thessaloniki is a beautiful city, not particularly clean, but one that has a lot to see. The restaurants serve good food, and the people are extremely pleasant.
