We loved our stay in Vathy, a beautiful coastal town with lots of restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops. Lots of places to see. The town of Kioni seems to be the pick of the towns, right up high on the north part of the island. Would love to visit again. I would recommend a car hire because the bus services are practically non-existent. Talking to the locals who described at as this: There is a bus timetable, but even that has become unreliable, so even the bus drivers have to figure out themselves which day they will run and what time.Guest review byChrisAustralia - 10.0

Gorgeous little town, with just incredible views. We were there in October, ans despite two days of dull, slightly rainy weather, we found it very charming. Lots of little shops to explore - though some were very expensive, to be honest. We had some great food here - the small restaurant on the seafront, La Familia - was our highlight. Really delicious traditional food. So good I'm going to have to try some of the recipes at home. The boat tours had finished for the winter, but it was still possible to hire a boat, or even a boat with a skipper. Vathi is easy to walk around, it's small and compact, and feels very friendly. I can't say that it would be wheelchair friendly, as a lot of the footpaths have cafe tables and chairs etc.Guest review bySileIreland - 10.0
Vathy is a lovely town.
Vathy is a lovely town. Very large yachting contingent so a little bit more expensive than other places but not by much. Some amazing restaurants - Mills, Soddis and Batis were all favourites along the waterfront.Guest review byBarryUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Vathi (or Vathy) is beautiful.
Vathi (or Vathy) is beautiful. Quiet during the day and a little more lively at night as it is an overnight stop for the various yachts (both big and small).
