Every single moment was totally amazing, the room service was very good, the food was unique and really tasty, the pool was great and clean, the room by himself is very big, the shower was great with hot water and the bed was very comfortable, the best part was the staff, everyone was very friendly and kind!🫶🏼

Clean, and I mean CLEAN! If you've ever travelled with someone who is so picky that they notice and complain about every tiny odor, speck & hair, take them here--they'll never leave!. Everything is new and comfortable. Other reviews pointed out that the room is a little small, but it's perfectly sufficient. As for the shower, it's warm & fine if you don't turn the tap up all the way. You have a space on the walkway outside your room with a rocking chair & table to enjoy the lake views. The roof on top has great views of the area too--I recommend a sneaky cold beverage up there. Close to the main strip, but set away from it. Other reviews pointed out noise, and, yes, there are some annoying dogs in the distance that bark way too much to warrant their continued existence, but none immediately close by. Definitely got in the habit of wearing earplugs in Guatemala, anyway. The nicest place we stayed at in Guatemala (always searching for the cheapest decently-rated private rooms with bathroom). This place should be WAY more popular.

Everything! The staff were amazing, especially a shout out to Andrea and Mary who did everything possible to help our stay be comfortable. The gym is next door and free to use as a hotel guest - it’s great! Loads of equipment and opens from 7am. The room we took had two beds, would recommend this for two people as you get lots of space. There is water, tea and coffee available in the restaurant for hotel guests which was a lovely touch. Breakfast is SO good. Huge portions and you take eat on their lovely terrace with lake and volcano views. It’s also a great place to relax in the evening when it is cooler. I left a dress from my washing and the hotel arranged it to come on a boat to pana which was over and above on service.

    We enjoyed San Pedro. it was picturesque with the beautiful lake and mountains. It was walkable, also easy to get a TukTuk. If you walk up the hill into the village, you get past the tourist streets and see local life. There are plenty of restaurants and shops. Many of the restaurants had seating that looked out over the lake. The souvenir market sellers are not pushy. We went to a Mayan museum, Tzunun' Ya'. It was informative about the formation of the lake and the traditional life of the Mayan people. We didn't see sandy beach areas to throw out a blanket and sit by the lake.

    EquiRoast on 1A Calle close to the water opens not only at about 6:30/7 am but also has Caleb , the owner , who will offer a mind boggling amount of ways to make your coffee and also has nice , bitter DARK ROAST coffee ! Do not miss it !! It is important to know that the tuktuks only take you to the next town where you have to change to get to the next and then change tuktuk there again

    San Pedro La Laguna was a fun town to walk around. There are many Spanish schools there and many young tourists. Lots of fun and convenient bars and restaurants. The view of the lake and volcano is stunning.

    After one week in San Marcos which is great I got borred and went to the most popular tourist village on the lake San Pedro which is more authentic, cheaper, full of good restaurants and bars. There are many things to do and you can do tours like San Pedro vulcano, Indian nose, party on the boat, visit beautiful village of San Juan with colorfull town center and take beautiful walk to Mirador Kaqasiiwaan.

    San Pedro La Laguna is a great spot to experience Lake Atitlan. There are a lot of activites such as paddleboarding, taking a tuktuk to San Juan, visiting the mercado or doing Spanish school. There are also option for bar crawls and party boats if you're into that. The view is beautiful and the people are so friendly.

    We loved staying in this town because of the variety of waterfront restaurants and it felt a little less touristy than the other towns. You can easily walk or tuktuk to San Juan and you can easily access a quick boat ride to San Marcos as well.

    Wonderful hotel, situated just in front of the lake Atitlan, with 2 beautiful terrasses. A spot to seat, enjoy the beautiful landscape, and pleasently chat with its very friendly owner. The rooms are nicely old looking, with good woodwork and tiles, they even look slightly Andalusian. Overall a wonderful experience !
