One of the world’s busiest and most populated cities, Hong Kong is best-known for its stunning skyline with over 1,200 skyscrapers and its “East meets West” cultural mix. With architecture and interior design influenced by feng shui and modern technology, this city is truly unique.
Hong Kong offers plenty of interesting city and thematic tours, ranging from cuisine-oriented, to architecture or nature. The latter is particularly fascinating as Hong Kong has many amazing mountain landscapes, marine parks and the Tian Tan Buddha on Lantau Island is only a ferry ride away.
Kowloon is a busy urban center near Victoria Harbor, where ferries are an excellent choice to see just how tall Hong Kong's buildings actually are. Excellent tax-free shopping can be found in high-class malls, boutiques and street markets.
Hong Kongs’ unique cultural fusion is clearly seen, tasted and heard in the local food, like dim sum from Maxim's Palace or hot pot from street vendors complimented local Cantopop music in the background.
Arriving at Hong Kong International Airport you’re only a short trip from the city center. Whether you’re staying in a chic hotel or a budget hostel, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for a holiday in Hong Kong.
I was surprised to see that there are hardly any european / western faces any more in Hong Kong. I have felt that there was a bit of an unpleasant and ‘pushy’ vibe. It is that I traveled for business - I would not consider to travel there for a holiday or so.
One of the vibrant and attractive cities in Asia full of rich HK movie culture and British colony legacy. Public transportation is well established, and you can go to everywhere by bus, MTR, or ferry.
A vibrant city with lots to see and experience. A lot of the historical buildings are converted into tourist/daytrip spots and it's quite easy to get there. Public transport is very accessible and can take you almost anywhere. Make sure you get an Octopus card (there is a tourist version sold at the airport arrival terminal) as it is the major way of payment (transport, restaurant, stores). Many places do accept VISA and Mastercard though. Try to avoid mid to end of Summer as it's really hot (~30C), and sometimes there will be typhoons.
I was surprised how easy it was to navigate the city using public rail and bus transportation. Victoria Harbor and Victoria Peak were the highlight locations of my trip. Will definitely need to visit again.
HK is a vibrant city filled with happenings and energy. Although the city is becoming more costly, still its value-for-money for food and shopping. But hotel accommodation is exorbitant. Public transport is easy to get around and finding places of interest is seamless.
Lots place to visit, lots things to buy! Highly recommend Ocean park for any age. Sham shui Po for electionic computing stuff but alsow they have a street for toys (Kid's heaven) food are always good. Tsim Sha Tsui for museums and harbour strokes. Sha Tin bike ride along thr river to tai Po. Too much too do.
Location was fantastic - great eating options within 5 minute walk. 4 minute walk to train station, 5 minutes to bus stop. Backed onto Kowloon Park and the wonderful Flamingo sanctuary! 20 min walk or cheap taxi ride down to the harbour and the Star Ferry. Across the road was a Wellcome grocery store and a 7/11 - plus Cafe de Coral for great fast eating options. Temple street night market just a 10 minute walk as well as Yue Hwa emporium. Also appreciated the laundry facilities on site
The location of the hotel is great for the price. In front, there is a little-known pier that has one of the best views of Central across the harbour. To the rear, a bridge that takes you directly into Kowloon Park, past the flamingos! There is a Pacific Coffee shop and a few restaurants just outside main door. The reception area is a lovely place to do some work, read etc with plush carpets, a sunny serene feel and different communal desk tables.
Fabulous location just off Nathan Road and very close to Temple Street night market. Walking distance to the metro Jordan Rd also only less than 10 minutes in a taxi to Kowloon high speed train station. The hotel is new, rooms are very comfortable and the staff very helpful. Great value for money compared to other Hong Kong hotels.
it’s perfect for business and hanging out on the island. the Harbour view was fantastic in the morning and very cool at night. it made my stay very special and it’s great to wake up to. note: the people who write bad reviews about this hotel are naive and don’t understand Hong Kong Island hotels are always compact.
Yau Tsim Mong District, Hong Kong
Considering expensive real estate of Hong Kong city it's good option for budget travelers close to tsim sha tsui mtr you can cover almost all attractins from here easily Victoria harbour within few minutes walk Chungking mansions nearby lots of Indian food available here
The staff were outstanding. Both the day staff & the night staff were amazing. The location is also very convenient. I previously lived in Hong Kong, so I know my way around. The hotel is at the Causeway Bay end of Wan Chai & right in the thick of it. Which I love.
It is located near cemeteries but I felt safe and comfortable, just a bit surprise as there is no mention in all reviews. Anyway, I have great time in Hong Kong and the hotel is convenient to all places. Staff are friendly and they have shuttle buses to nearby stations.
If you want to visit the attractions in Lantau island along with central Hong Kong, this hotel is very well located. The free stuttle service makes it a perfect hotel. Both to/from airport to hotel and to metro station very well maintained.
Housekeeping service was excellent. Overall staff service was good. The location of the hotel is great, in between both Wan Chai and Exhibition Centre MTR stations and within walking distance of the ferry terminal to Tsim Sha Tsui.
Pretty much perfectly located city hotel. A "boutique" experience, with attentive staff, compact but beautifully appointed room. Great bar and restaurants. Top of my list for where I might stay in Hong Kong next time.
Good location, near Mtr Jordan exit D, easy access to the airport via bus A21. Spacious room in comparison to other hotels in Hong Kong at the same price. There is an elevator for servicing. Good service staff.
Central location, helpful staff, hotel did what it needed to do. Nothing great about it, nothing poor about it. Good location in Kowloon and well connected with Jordan metro literally downstairs.
Not much. I think this hotel is good value for money given how expensive Hong Kong is. The location is good, near Sheung Wan and not far from Central. They give you 2 bottles of water per day.
always a pleasure staying here! we’ve been staying at this hotel everytime my family goes to Hong Kong..and its been the best, most budget friendly hotel in the TST area for big families!
Very good service and a nice room. The shower was nice and the hotel has a pleasant location. It was close to some MTR stations from which you could easily travel across Hong Kong.
good staff in Ramada Hong Kong Grand hotel miss lai is professional, caring and helpful good staff in Ramada Hong Kong Harbour View hotel, too
Hotel in central location, very comfortable room. Only 2min walk from MTR station. Hotel looked after our bags when we checked out.
We always stay a few days at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel whenever we’re in Hong Kong. Such a treat for kids and adults!
