FAQs about hotels in Hong Kong

Style Amidst the Skyscrapers

One of the world’s busiest and most populated cities, Hong Kong is best-known for its stunning skyline with over 1,200 skyscrapers and its “East meets West” cultural mix. With architecture and interior design influenced by feng shui and modern technology, this city is truly unique.

Hong Kong offers plenty of interesting city and thematic tours, ranging from cuisine-oriented, to architecture or nature. The latter is particularly fascinating as Hong Kong has many amazing mountain landscapes, marine parks and the Tian Tan Buddha on Lantau Island is only a ferry ride away.

Kowloon is a busy urban center near Victoria Harbor, where ferries are an excellent choice to see just how tall Hong Kong's buildings actually are. Excellent tax-free shopping can be found in high-class malls, boutiques and street markets.

Hong Kongs’ unique cultural fusion is clearly seen, tasted and heard in the local food, like dim sum from Maxim's Palace or hot pot from street vendors complimented local Cantopop music in the background.

Arriving at Hong Kong International Airport you’re only a short trip from the city center. Whether you’re staying in a chic hotel or a budget hostel, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for a holiday in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong is great for shopping ( for those inclined), seeing Chinese culture and food variety. There are several excellent museums and parks. The Maritime and Naval museums on the Island are favorites. It is worth getting out of the city and visiting a couple of the off shore islands by ferry for trails and sea food. Macau (explore Taipa and Coloane too) is only an hour away by boat from HK Island. Allow about two hours in total by new bridge. The MTR is the best of its kind. Get an " Octopus" card.

A great place to visit, with different activities for everyone to enjoy. However, it you have a phobia of heights, then it maybe not for you. The transport system is fairly easy to navigate, but do not rely on Google maps or city finder to help you navigate through the winding roads and bridges, as they can often put you in the wrong direction! The shop and restaurant staff are friendly and helpful throughout Hong-Kong. However, Some of the locals don't seem to be happy to assist you with any of your enquiries... Depending on which part of the island you're staying on, every attraction seems to be within a 50 minutes to an hours travel time in every direction with different modes of transport options to get you to your final destination.

Easy reach to all kind of transports, shoppings, bankings, information. Plenty of restaurants, all types of cuisine suit all budgets. I went to Hong Kong Park, M+, the water front in Central, The Landmark, Pacific Place. I dined in Crust, also tried the congee shop in Centre Street near the Best Western Plus.

Hong Kong is a beautiful lovely place that is a must for travelers, Why? 1.It's a genuine world city! You can get the best of the best here in terms of food, nightlife, shopping and entertainment 2. Travel friendly options: Every place is thoughtfully connected. The MTR, buses are wonderfully interwoven so you don't need to engage an expensive cab and can travel everywhere round the clock! 3. Safety. Not once did we feel insecure or threatened. 4. Culture + Infrastructure. The place is so beautifully designed that you get the best of the east and the west 5. Friendly people. Locals were sweet and ever so helpful.

Hong Kong is a very good place to visit if you want a varied holiday, I enjoyed going to The Peak on the tram and walking in the country park there. I enjoyed going on the ferry to Lantau Island, then going on the bus to Tai O fishing and going on one of the boat tours there. I ate in different places, including Jordan, Sha Tin and Mui Wo, the food was always good. The transport is very good, the MTR is very efficient, though very busy in the rush hour, there are lots of buses and everyone should go on the Star Ferry and the Tram.
