Royal Plaza Hotel

Hotel in Kowloon, Hong Kong

Centrally located in Mongkok atop the Mong Kok East MTR Station, the luxurious Royal Plaza Hotel enjoys direct access to MOKO, a large shopping mall with over 200 shops and a big cinema. First time to travel to hongkong and staying in Royal Plaza Hotel made it memorable. The location of the hotel was excellent because it is near the mall and the mtr. Staff were accommodating. Good value for money. I will definitely book to this place again soon.

The Royal Garden

Hotel in Kowloon, Hong Kong

Offering free Wi-Fi access, The Royal Garden is conveniently located within a few minutes’ walk from Victoria Harbor waterfront, The Clock Tower and the famous Avenue of Stars. We came here for 2 nights with a baby, and were upgraded to a Sky room upon check-in, which was a nice surprise. Staff are super nice and helpful. They provided a baby cot that was the perfect size for the baby to sleep comfortably. The room is huge and clean, with all the amenities (sofa, desk, coffee machine, safe, iron...). Beds are very comfortable (you can even ask for different types of pillows), toilet super spacious, and from the window we had beautiful views of the swimming pool and the harbor. The hotel is just 200 metres from an entrance to East Tsim Sha Tsui metro station, and 10 minutes walk from Hung Hom station if you are coming by train. With lots of restaurants and shopping nearby, it's just next to the harbor for amazing pictures and a short walk to the Star Ferry. Breakfast buffet was very nice, with plenty of different options and very tasty. The best part is the outdoor swimming pool in the 18th floor, heated to the right temperature, not too hot or cold, and with a small jacuzzi next to it, perfect place for relaxing and enjoy the sun with a nice view. The changing rooms are also excellent with sauna, jacuzzi and "experience showers". You can burn some calories in the gym or, for an extra fee, get a spa/massage treatment. As usual in most places in Hong Kong, AC temperatures are near freezing all around, but it was nice that we could turn the AC off in the room to have some normal human temperatures, and most importantly, that it stayed off (unlike other places).

Cordis, Hong Kong

Hotel in Kowloon, Hong Kong

Rising over busy central Kowloon, the upscale 5-star Cordis Hong Kong enjoys direct access to Mongkok MTR Station and Langham Place Mall. Firstly this post is going to be a lengthy one so kindly bear with it. I have travelled places and Cordis Hong Kong has been the best so far. I would try to justify below why I feel this way. At the outset let me first appreciate the wonderful team work at work in this hotel. I could not meet the ones who are at the higher hierarchy but I believe strongly that without their able direction and motivation such team effort is not possible and I compliment them for maintaining high standards. Lets start by enumerating points why should you stay in this hotel? 1. Location: Perfect. It is connected to a busy mall "Langham place" which has good brands / food court / coffee shops / and most importantly the metro. The best part is that the mall and hotel is connected through the lobby. 2. Chinese food joints, KFC, Mc Donald's, Indian restaurants are all nearby. These restaurants are offering food at variable prices depending upon your budget. 3. Hotel rooms and cleanliness standards are of the highest order. Better than most of the other hotels I have stayed in the world. 4. Services are excellent. Be it bell captain or room service or even the electrician, the response is prompt and effective. 5. Staff is highly cooperative and trained. Details of the staff I have mentioned below. 6. Club lounge:- If you choose the room with club lounge facility then it would be slightly more costly but it is worth it because there is a club room at your disposal literally 24 x 7. Believe me I have availed of club lounge facility in other places like Singapore but nothing compares to Cordis. Again maybe its the staff who is responsible for this. 7. Handy phone:- I believe that this is also available to those rooms which have club lounge access and if you are planning to buy a sim / pack in your existing network then its all not required. The hotel offers you a phone that can connect to other devices and it is complimentary

FAQs about hotels in Hong Kong

Style Amidst the Skyscrapers

One of the world’s busiest and most populated cities, Hong Kong is best-known for its stunning skyline with over 1,200 skyscrapers and its “East meets West” cultural mix. With architecture and interior design influenced by feng shui and modern technology, this city is truly unique.

Hong Kong offers plenty of interesting city and thematic tours, ranging from cuisine-oriented, to architecture or nature. The latter is particularly fascinating as Hong Kong has many amazing mountain landscapes, marine parks and the Tian Tan Buddha on Lantau Island is only a ferry ride away.

Kowloon is a busy urban center near Victoria Harbor, where ferries are an excellent choice to see just how tall Hong Kong's buildings actually are. Excellent tax-free shopping can be found in high-class malls, boutiques and street markets.

Hong Kongs’ unique cultural fusion is clearly seen, tasted and heard in the local food, like dim sum from Maxim's Palace or hot pot from street vendors complimented local Cantopop music in the background.

Arriving at Hong Kong International Airport you’re only a short trip from the city center. Whether you’re staying in a chic hotel or a budget hostel, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for a holiday in Hong Kong.
