A medieval beauty full of magnificence and glory, Dubrovnik is surrounded by white stone walls. Located on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, this masterpiece is one of the most promising tourist destinations.
Passing through the imposing stone gate of Pile Gate, you will find yourself immersed in history. Take a walk in the narrow streets of this charming city, enjoy a cup of coffee in one of the colourful cafés, or order fresh fish in one of the outdoor restaurants.
Surrounded by turquoise waters, Dubrovnik Old Town sights include the picturesque Stradun, Onofrio fountain and the Franciscan monastery.
The city’s cable car will take you up to Mount Srd from where you can savour panoramic views over the treasures of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Buses connect Dubrovnik Airport with the city centre, and Booking.com offers a variety of hotels, apartments, and guest houses throughout.
The city and port are drop dead gorgeous. The city is a beautifully restored and maintained treasure of old Venetian architecture. One can wander the ramparts of the old city and its immense towers. And the beaches outside the walls are great.
Downside are the tourist crowds, which in late September, were considerable.
Also, the city is very expensive. Food and store items are high in price and entrances to aspects of the walls, museums, etc are very pricey.

I had a nice time in Dubrovnik.
I had a nice time in Dubrovnik. We were only there for two days so we didn’t get to explore much besides The Wall and things to see and do inside the Wall. And we did the cable car, which I think was over rated, we could have skipped that.

It is a unique blend of culture and nature.
It is a unique blend of culture and nature. The city is enchanting with architectural styles that reflect long & rich history of the city and many cultures that have shaped building ornaments streets. Yet Dubrovnik smells on pines and lavander with quiet promenades along the coast , well preserved and well presented layers of the past

Dubrovnik is an amazing city/Old Town.
Dubrovnik is an amazing city/Old Town. We loved how the very old was laced with new (shops, restaurants). The food everywhere was amazing, always fresh. Our two favorite restaurants: Gratza Kava Arsenal in Old Port and Aquarius in the Old Town. Experiencing a burek (Balken pastry) at Holy Burek is a must - great light lunch! The Busza Bars are a fun place to have a drink (expensive) and watch the cliff jumpers. Walking the city walls and visiting other Old Town attractions were great too. Our favorite in Dubrovnik was visiting the DuOlive Olive Farm and having an olive oil tasting experience. Our hosts, Tea and Kristo, bent over backwards to make their guests have an amazing time! So delicious (so many homemade goodies) and we learned so much about olive oil!! I highly recommend visiting Dubrovnik!!!

Dubrovnik is a beautiful city.
Dubrovnik is a beautiful city. We stayed in Old Town and then ventured out to the city - both lovely in their own way. We did get caught in some bad weather. If you use your time wisely and see all the main sights during good weather, you run out of things to do during the bad weather as all ferries and water sports stop. Plus, the weather was so bad that fog covered the top of the mountain therefore the cable car wasn’t working either.
Great place but highly dependent on the weather being good.
Old Town is quite expensive. Expect to pay between €20-€30 for dinner (not including a drink). It’s super easy to walk, especially if you enjoy stairs (there are a lot).
The Rixos is an amazing hotel, the views are incredible and is within walking distance of the Old Town (around 4 euro using Uber). The food was exceptional (we stayed half board) as was the service we received. The hotel was clean and the facilities are as you would expect of a 5 star hotel. The Spa was lovely and was totally worth a visit. A wonderful and memorable stay and we can't wait to go back.
Staff was absolutely wonderful, 5 star service! Quick to reply to emails and inquiries, very helpful. The view is amazing and the hotel itself just lovely. It is a quick drive to the old town, cheaper to take Uber than pick up a taxi on the street. Breakfast included all you can drink diy mimosas, big plus there!
The host Anita is exceptionally polite, friendly and helpful. She suggested great tips for spending time in Dubrovnik. Every day we were using Hotel More beach premises - they have an amazing beach location for the Villa's guests as well.
This hotel is superb and a perfect location for visiting Dubrovnik in a luxury hotel with great indoor pool and outdoor space and also amazing views of the old town and sunsets. Staff and quality of food excellent
Hotel is at the top of steep stairs owner carried bags up and drown. Lovely terrace overlooking the port. Dubrovnik Beer Company round the corner. On the bus route to the old town. Really strong air con
