Perhaps one of the most beautiful rooms we havr ever stayed in. Very firendly staff...and a breathtaking view if the city. Even though it is so close to the center...the restaurant and bar terrace are an oasis. Great food as well.

It was our 4th time with the Royal group (twice with Royal Neptun and once with Royal Blue before) & we would come again. The room was lovely & clean. The cleaning Lady provided coffee & milk every day. We had sea view which is such a nice treat. The beds were really comfortable. Breakfast is always superbusy because people from all the hotels are coming together, but they had enough staff on & enough supply at the buffet was always provided. One of my previous comments (from previous visits) was that breakfast buffet can get a bit samey - this time the fruit variied every day & I’ve noticed that it caters more for vegetarians now too (different salads & spreads etc every day!!) - so well done for listening to your guests. There was champagne/prosecco & different little cakes every morning too which was a lovely treat. :-)

FAQs about hotels in Dubrovnik

The Pearl of the Adriatic

A medieval beauty full of magnificence and glory, Dubrovnik is surrounded by white stone walls. Located on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, this masterpiece is one of the most promising tourist destinations.

Passing through the imposing stone gate of Pile Gate, you will find yourself immersed in history. Take a walk in the narrow streets of this charming city, enjoy a cup of coffee in one of the colorful cafés, or order fresh fish in one of the outdoor restaurants.

Surrounded by turquoise waters, Dubrovnik Old Town sights include the picturesque Stradun, Onofrio fountain and the Franciscan monastery.

The city’s cable car will take you up to Mount Srd from where you can savor panoramic views over the treasures of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Buses connect Dubrovnik Airport with the city center, and Booking.com has a variety of hotels, apartments, and guesthouses throughout.

    It's an expensive city.

It's an expensive city. There's no information to get around with Google Maps, so most of the time you have to see information at the bus stop on how you will be going. Take an activity kayaking tour; it's my highlight, or visit Lokrum Island if you are bored with the Old Town.

The old town is a must as is walking the walls - Dubrovnik pass recommended at £40 Its on your phone in advance, includes bus travel and many other museums/attractions in the city which is good value when walls alone are £40. Do some kind of boat trip if you like the sea - did a speed boat tri to 3 islands with deep sea/cave swimming and one sandy beach - there are very few of those in the Dubrovnik area. Most are rocky and shingly. People are lovely - kind and helpful and the bus system excellent.

Very busy, I’d only buy the discovery pass for 1 day and get in to do as much as possible. I personally would have hated 3 days in the old town as it was too hot and too busy. I spent first afternoon on a guided walk to get my bearings and the next day walking the walks, doing the museums and then a trip to Cavat (spent 2 hours there which was enough to walk around the headland, through the town, have a coffee and ice cream). Day 3 (2nd full day)trip to Mostar and waterfalls. Spent the next morning (day 4) walking around the port headland before a ferry trip mid afternoon to the Mijet for 2 nights. If I’d had another day/night in Dubrovnik I’d have got a boat trips out to the smaller islands. I found Dubrovnik more expensive than other places in Croatia.

The Villa was beautiful and so close to the entrance into the old town. It really was the perfect location for anything we wanted to do during our stay in the city. Our host, Matea, couldn’t have been more helpful or responsive. She checked in regularly and was responsive to all our needs and questions. I can’t imagine a better place to stay with a large group.

I couldn’t believe my eyes when looking at the views of the town from different angles—especially from Fort Lovrijenac, which looked like a painting. We were two couples and got the three-day ticket to visit most of the attractions, which was definitely worth it. We also took a 4-hour private boat tour, which was amazing. The skipper took us wherever we wanted to go and shared many interesting stories about the town. Another highlight was the cable car, which gave us even more astonishing views of the Old Town. We ended up eating at three restaurants that were “sister” restaurants, each offering the best views, spectacular service, and delicious food. We had three full days there, and I think it was absolutely worth it to stay inside the Old Town—everything was so accessible. We even managed to enjoy the beach on our last afternoon. I only wish we could have stayed one more day to take another tour to one of the nearby countries, like Montenegro. Dubrovnik was unforgettable!

What a wonderful place to visit with fascinating history at every turn. We only had just under two days and so stayed mostly in Old Town walking the walls and visiting the churches and restaurants etc. If we had been able to stay longer, we would have gone to the beach as well. Dubrovnik and the rest of Croatia is just beautiful.

Very lovely hosts. Superb apartment with a great view of the Adriatic Sea. We were late on arrival (almost 9:15 pm) and there was no rush for checkin. The hostess (Mare) ensured we were checked in well. Next day morning, the host came to check if everthing was ok. Excellent hospitality. Close to the Bellevue swimming area as well as the Rixos Premium / 5 star hotel, where you can get a taxi. 20 minutes walk to the Old Town - but if you are visiting in Summer, ensure you go early to beat the summer sun!

Everything as it’s brand new. The bed was as good as any 5 star hotel. Super easy to get to the Old town as there is a bus stop right across the road. Also a supermarket. Highly Recommend it. The only issue Is google maps doesn’t recognise it as it’s a brand new development but if you put in “ The Fairy s Cave “ that apartment is in the same complex and will take you right there
