We were only there for 6 hours and it felt too long. I booked it to be close to the airport. Maybe if we'd checked in earlier it would have felt less creepy, but our room's lighting was awful and it was dark and empty. Kastela is a suburb near Split which has 7 small villages...
Kastela is a suburb near Split which has 7 small villages and is an easy driving distance from Split. The beaches are small and pretty and not crowded at all. The sand varies from being quite coarse to large pebbles and the waters are crystal clear. There are some sports activities like jet ski. The food is amazing and is a lot less expensive compared to Split. The area is hilly so be prepared for a bit of a trek if you are exploring on foot.Guest review byNilUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We liked our room very impressed have never done a Room, sleep, fly before ...very easy to book on line ...Very impressed with how clean the room was so much in there...Had a nice refreshing shower my hubby found a film to watch on the TV..The little fridge was a bonus as it was very hot. Loved Kastela, especially the promenade walks.
Loved Kastela, especially the promenade walks. Lots of good dining options at reasonable prices. It feels relaxed and neither dumpy or too fancy, just right for a seaside escape. Good for families as the promenade is wide for walkers, cyclists, dog walkers and prams. There are a few disabled ramps into the ocean too. Close to Split airport and easy on the bus route.
