Facing the beachfront in Kozarica, Guest House Hazdovac has a terrace. With a shared lounge, the 3-star guest house has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The meals excelent and the host very kind and helpful . The location very nice , close to sea .
Offering a barbecue and terrace, Apartments Cumbelic is situated in Kozarica in the Mljet Island Region. Mljet National Park can be reached in 18 km, while Međugorje is 50 km away. It was nice to arrive and find a few local treats left for us Spacious accommodation with everything you need. It's located in a very small quiet village which is a little out of the way and there is one restaurant, no shop, tiny beach/harbour.
Offering a barbecue, Apartments Dora Mljet is situated in Kozarica, about 8 km from Mljet National Park. Free private parking is available on site. All units include a seating and dining area. One of those places where you feel incredibly welcome throughout and the little extra touches or 'presents' make all the difference. We will definitely come back to Mljet one day, even if it is just to stay here and eat wonderful home made food on the balcony overlooking a splendid view.
Located within Mljet National Park, Apartment Dalmatinac Ivo is set only steps away from the sea in Tatinica Bay. Polače is 2.5 km away, while Goveđari is 5 km away. Everything was perfect. Small and calm bay, you can not be closer to the nature. Ideal place for children, lots of options for kayaking trips. The whole family is very open and happy to help in any situation.
Very small town on a very small beautiful island. It's peaceful but sparce, one restaurant and a 15-20 minute drive to the nearest grocery store and ATM. The worst part of the entire area was the road into town. For about 5 minutes it's a two way road with only enough space for one car, there are frequent cutouts but your driving on the side of a mountain sometimes with no guard rail. Having to reverse down that in the dark when another car was coming at us was not for the faint of heart. It's a quiet area with a very small rocky beach. We spent most of our time in Mljet National Park as that was much easier for our young children to swim.
The place is right off the beaten track, no restaurant that I noticed but Mrs Mia at our apartment supplied abundant good food and drink at reasonable prices. Pleasant view over a small harbour. I am 75 years old and was pleased to note there were no discos, but an excellent national park is about 15km away and you will need a car to get to it.
The villa hotel we stayed at was a gem. The owners were so friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic but very clean but the food was excellent for such an out of the way place. Strongly recommended.
. It is a beautiful area but transport needed to explore this lovely island. We stayed at Dora's apartments which is excellent and Mia cooked our breakfast every day and our dinner sometimes. There is another place where you can have dinner or there is everything in the apartment if you want to cook for yourself. The roads are excellent and we hired a scooter to explore the island. Nothing to avoid!
Mljet itself is stunning. Peaceful and cycling round the national park is a must. If you choose to stay in kozarica be aware that you need to eat at the hotel (which is quite expensive. There are basic self catering facilities so definitely worth bringing some pasta and eggs so you can make some basic things in the apartment.
It is a lovely island the old town has many restaurants and there are restaurants around the harbour you have loads of choices there is only 1 small beach all the swimming is off the rocks or stoney beaches you need shoes as there are sea urchins everywhere but saying this I would return tomorrow
Mia was an excellent host. She have us little 'presents' of food on arrival and at breakfast time for no extra charge, and nothing was too much trouble. Her evening meals were delicious and very good value. Kozarica is a beautiful little village out on its own in one side of the island. We spent a happy evening there jumping off the harbour wall into the sea.
