Sobra is a nice, quiet place to use as a base to explore Mljet (you need a car). The hosts at Vitorin went out of their way to make me feel welcome.

Great location, next to the seaside, in the heart of charming Sobra village. The place is huge and the view from the room I was in is spectacular. Unfortunately, we were there for 3 days only, but this apartment seems suitable for longer stays as it offers everything you could wish for. There are two bathrooms, one in each floor, which is super handy if there are more people. There was a bottle of locally-produced olive oil in the kitchen, which you can freely use, and then buy some more if you want. We did just that, and I can highly recommend it, it's a really good oil.

Good location near to ferry port when coming from neighbouring Dubrovnik & also in the middle of the island for trips either side to the national park and Saplunara beach The host was very accommodating and hospitable, including allowing to check in early & leave later if required given no other guests were in our room. Also even making morning coffee/tea for us which was a lovely addition
