Though it's not super-modern inside, I found the atmosphere of the place very congenial. This was added to by the kindliness of the lady that I dealt with, Ana, who went out of her way to be helpful. And the cat. There is a small swimming spot just a few metres away.

Nice small village with 2-3 places to eat. Great view to the sea and private beaches for those staying near the sea. It's easy to get to other visiting spots on the island because the roads are in good shape. Nice people living in there.

A quiet seaside village with gorgeous clear water to swim in...

A quiet seaside village with gorgeous clear water to swim in, and a fifteen minute walk away is a little beach with turquoise clear water. A short drive away is a National Park. There is a lovely restaurant in Sobra, called Lanterna, that is right by the water and serves delicious seafood, and the best spaghetti marinara we have ever had! Very special.

Sobra is tiny and suitable for people wanting an exceptionally quiet holiday, or who have a car or bike to get about & see more of Mljet. It has two restaurants and a sandwich shop and a very small mini mart with extremely limited stock (eg no eggs or hard cheese the week we were there). The restaurants are fine- one is predominantly pizzas and the other has a good choice. There are some walks out of Sobra if you’re ok with very hilly terrain and rough underfoot.

Quiet place, 2 taverns and Studenac Market - smaller. Only a few houses in a quiet bay. If you don't have a home with your own beach, there are only 2 beaches - one city and the other about 300m from the village - natural, water shoes required.

Sobra is a small port where you can catch the ferry, rent a...

Sobra is a small port where you can catch the ferry, rent a car, and fill up with gas (it's the only gas station). A car is essential on this island, and the only rental company (Mini Brum) takes advantage of this by charging exorbitant prices. For example, renting a Seicento for 4 days costs €221! Aside from that, the island is stunning, and its natural park is breathtaking. A must-see!

Sobra is a tiny little place where you can find everything you need: two restaurants, a small shop, a fishmonger, a fast-food restaurant, and an ice cream parlor! It's easy to get around on foot, and there are several places to swim!

The situation of this property is absolutely wonderful. It’s amongst trees so has lots of shade - useful when it’s hot and sunny. It’s also directly across the small bay from Sobra so there’s a great view, either from the balcony or the two lower levels of seating outside that we were welcome to use, one of which was directly at sea level. It was a great place to have an early evening beer! The hosts were very welcoming and the apartment was spotlessly clean. We slept very well in the comfy bed.

Mljet is a paradise and Sobra is great to spot to explore the island - I mean not only the national park, but also the rest of Mljet. The communication with owner was always super fast and smooth and Antonia was really helpful (she even changed the batteries in Nintendo Wii). Flat is great, super clean and the terrace with a view over the Sobra bay is just breathtaking! As I have already mentioned, there was even Nintento Wii in the flat, which we enjoyed very much...

The island of Mljet is absolutely charming and worth visiting. Rooms are little bit outdated but still perfectly functional, located in the centre of harbour town Sobra. The owners are very sweet although they don't speak much english. They made us coffee in the morning. Small beach is just downstairs. AC was working fine.

By far the best experience we had in Croatia. The apartment is modernly furnished, spotlessly clean and the balcony offers a fantastic view of the bay of Sobra. Mihaela answers all questions quickly and also has great tips for trips on Mjlet - a perfect host. Thank you for the fantastic time!
