Hotel: the hotel is on a hill and looks out onto the sea and mountains. It truly is the most amazing view especially on sunny days or when the sun is setting. In the building where the rooms are there is a full working kitchen and a huge living room with a big balcony aswell to use as we wish. There is a pool and a hot tub that is easy to functioning and is nice to use on cooler evenings. Room (seaview with balcony): the room with a balcony is the way to go in this hotel the view from the balcony is extraordinary. Upon arrival we was shown around the room and there was no fault! The bedroom and ensuite was spotless and the bed was perfect to sleep on Area: where the hotel is situated I have to admit is quite a bit away from Old Town(main attraction) and we needed a ride into the town every day. The hotel owner... graciously offers rides at a price of 200 kuna (£23)there and back to the hotel. You can hire cars but we figured there was no point since we was there for four days, and parking in the old town is dear and it's hard to find parking spots. Beaches: there is two beaches. The stikovica beach and the "private beach" that the hotel mentions. The private beach is more so on rocks and you jump off into the water and stikovica beach is a stoned beach where the locals hang out and m there is also nice restaurants. Owners: they're SO nice and welcoming. Making sure everything's up to standard and trying to help you in anyway they can.
Perfect size for me. Small and personal. Nothing was to much trouble. Had some amazing food at the attached restaurant to the hotel- highly recommend the 'Special chicken' . Lovely little bar down on the beach, which felt very safe. Prices very reasonable especially compared to old town Dubrovnik. Fairly easy access into Dubrovnik, with shuttles running 4 times a day, also public bus service up on main road. Lovely walks around the area.
lovely relaxing place to stay,,staff were fantastic could'nt be more helpful needs a supermarket in area only bad thing ,,but madam Anna brought us to nearby supermarket very nice lady,,Dragica such a great lady made our stay a real pleasure thank you, you need to get taxie to get in to city.
Stikovica is a good choice if you prefer calm places. Dubrovnik is near, public garage is available for parking if you decide to go to the city by car. It has a public beach and good restaurants, small groceries nearby.
It’s a very small place with a tiny beach. There is one beach bar and the locals all frequent it from what I can gather. We felt a little in the way. It’s very pretty and a great distance to explore Dubrovnik without it costing a fortune. The pizza restaurant was brill, selling us wine for our room and the food was lovely. Villa Ana was exceptionally clean and had lovely hosts.
The beach is pebbly but the water is crystal clear. Sun beds and brollys are available. There are three restaurants in the centre of Stikovica. They all take plastic or Kunas. I recommend all three but the best is the Kanobo Veranda, you must try the "Very Special Chicken" but be aware that you need to give them 3 hours notice.
