Stikovica is a good choice if you prefer calm places. Dubrovnik is near, public garage is available for parking if you decide to go to the city by car. It has a public beach and good restaurants, small groceries nearby.
It’s a very small place with a tiny beach. There is one beach bar and the locals all frequent it from what I can gather. We felt a little in the way. It’s very pretty and a great distance to explore Dubrovnik without it costing a fortune. The pizza restaurant was brill, selling us wine for our room and the food was lovely. Villa Ana was exceptionally clean and had lovely hosts.
The beach is pebbly but the water is crystal clear. Sun beds and brollys are available. There are three restaurants in the centre of Stikovica. They all take plastic or Kunas. I recommend all three but the best is the Kanobo Veranda, you must try the "Very Special Chicken" but be aware that you need to give them 3 hours notice.
The shop if you are self catering is a good hour walk if you are not driving. There are no pavements so you are on the side of the road. Take or buy a snorkel there is more going on under the water than you think. Use the local buses they are a cheap way of getting surround.
Štikovica is a beautiful very quiet village with amazing sea view. If you are looking for time away from busy cite have car or don't mind using taxi this is the place for you! Three places to eat and a beautiful beach everyone big or small will find something for themselves!
