Szentendre is a picturesque town with a lot of interesting alleys to walk through and find hidden gems, including the walk down to the Danube River and along the path towards the Japanese Garden. I also visited Skansen the Open Air Museum which was an hour’s walk although you can take the bus. Many of the reconstructed buildings have information in English.
I enjoyed the weekend beak to the North of Hungary!

Worth the visit if you arround the capital. If you traveling with family and kids and not that fancy about the big cities than I would recommend you to consider to have an accommodation in Szentendre and visit BP during the day. It is just 30-40 minutes away with public transport, and you have trains every 5-10 minutes.

Szentendre should be visited when the weather is nice, best in summer. Beautiful streets, landscapes, food... in autumn-winter it is quite deserted, except on weekends. The hotel we stayed in does not justify the price for the quality it provides.

Perfect place for recharging your battery 🔋!
Small bistros all around the place. You can enjoy traditional slow-cook food. Also there is a very good Mediterranean Balkan Taverna ADRIA. We recomand it from our ❤

The town in perfect little town by Danube, everything is adorable here. The only problem is that most of the shops are unreliable and not serious about their working hours: somewhere they opeb shops on time, but somewhere they don't bother to respect working hours at all!!!!! So, that is very bad for the bussines.

A lovely picturesque town with plenty to do.
A lovely picturesque town with plenty to do. A good choice of restaurants and bars with a good choice of cuisine. The centre is compact enough to make exploring the lovely cobbled streets easy even in the heat. So lovely to have the opportunity to sit on the banks of the Danube and watch the world go by. A lovely holiday feel to the place without being overcrowded.
This was a charming apart hotel in a historical neighbourhood of Szentendre, extremely clean, brand new furniture and appliances. Tamas and Kata are amazing hosts, paying attention to all details and providing useful information. The city itself is wonderful to visit, very good restaurants are on each opposite corners of the apart hotel, and stores are within walking distance. In 18 km you can find the Visegrad citadel, offering amazing views on the Danube. We are definetely considering a new trip as we have much more to explore.
The location is great, situated next to the main square, you can quickly reach many great cafés and restaurants or stroll through the artisan shops.
The room is spacious and very nicely decorated, it's perfect to come to wrest after visiting Szentendre.
The house also has an inner courtyard which is peaceful compared to the busy streets.
During our stay we had some complications with the parking permit, but this was resolved quickly and well by the staff.
The receptionist was very nice and helpful, he spoke very good English and helped us order food. Everything was clean and comfortable and the choice of food for breakfast was quite good as well. It's a good place for those who are aiming to see the Skanzen or Szentendre. The Skanzen is just next to hotel and Szentendre is about 3,5 km. But if you're planning to see Budapest it's going to be a little bit far.
Conveniently walking distance for us to visit family in Szentendre but not too far from the town centre. The apartment is a great layout and a good size. We had three adults but could easily have had four. Peter and Helga were fantastic, accommodating our late arrival on the first day and showing us the essentials.
Thank you Peter and Helga for welcoming us to your home.
A very nice place to stay while you’re in Szentendre. The place is located in the vicinity of the center area which you can walk within minutes. The bed and pillow are okay, quite comfortable. The place is clean and well maintained. Air conditioner works fine. Hot water is enough and available. Overall, I would recommend this place to stay in Szentendre.
The hotel is in an excellent central location. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel which were real tasty, the staff at the restaurant were very friendly and helpful just like the rest of the team. Thumbs up for All.
We would definitely stay there again.
This is a lovely, peaceful, elegant house, well outside of Szentendre, with a very nice terrace and a great mountain view. The facilities are clean and comfortable. Budapest is a comfortable day trip by train from Szentendre station.
Beatiful, originaly stylish designed and spacious apartment in the middle of the Szentendre by the Danube. Everything is new, perfect clean and smells really good :) Pleasant courtyard, Thank you very much! We will come again.
This was a great small hotel in the lovely town of Szentendre. There is a bar, spa, outside patio area, restaurant. The staff was very helpful. The location is great, walkable to all the sights. There is a parking garage.
