I was the second time at Lumi and I just love it! When you drive around anf look at the hotels, Lumi is outstanding! There are many nice hotels but the vibe at Lumi is just wow! Love the pool,the food, the free bicycle rent, the beach area .. the cleaning personal does also a great job! Everyone is friendly. I would stay there again!

The stay was amazing. I expected much less, but the staff was caring and always ready to help with whatever we wanted. The massage was great too. Recommendation to book with the hotel the sunset boat trip - it was absolutely wonderful) We enjoyed our stay and next time on Gili T - we'll go here.

Our stay at Bale Sampan was amazing. I only have good things to say. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It started feeling like home very quickly. The staff really made a huge difference, they made us very welcome and comfortable. The room was a good size, and very clean. They decorated the beds with flowers from the property. The food in the restaurant was great. Beach access right across from the property with free sunbeds for guests of the property. The ferry point is about 10 mins walk, and the location is very convenient with lot of cafes and food options.

Overall the hotel is pleasant, the room and outside pool was very clean. The area is super quiet. There was a mini bar with beverages which was very convenient in the evenings. The staff was super helpful with all our needs. They gave us extra towels and cleaned our room every day. There is available toiletries as well. For breakfast we had multiple available options as per our choice and was brought to our room at our preferred time.

    If you are over 35, or a couple, this island may not be for...

    If you are over 35, or a couple, this island may not be for you. Gili T is more for partying and Instagram people. The centre of the village is just crammed with horse carts, ebikes, bicycles and people. It is not really very relaxing to stroll around. Prices are higher than everywhere else (e.g. Bali or Gili A). At night it is just a mass of people drinking shots, and partying hard. EVERYONE is there to take pictures of themselves. So there are all these strange activities, like a sunrise paddleboard tour that lasts about 15 minutes (sole purpose is to take photos) or sunset horseback riding that takes 10-15 minutes (sole purpose is to take photos). No one hangs out and just vibes - it's all about the photos. I am also aware that Gili T is a muslim island and the swim suits that women were wearing were just indecent. I just wonder what the locals think about it. But the island itself, the diving, the snorkeling, the turtles are all great. The locals are fun and very cool. Honestly, there is nothing that can be done about the tourists... everyone is obsessed with photographing themselves these days and showing off their bare bottom.

    The place is amazing, words can’t describe the feeling and vibe of this cityyy! Must go and stay for atleast 3/4 days. This island runs on horse carts and cycles! The party scene is lit! Scubaa- outstanding

    Gili T has lots of potential, but at the moment it feels a bit overcrowded and overexplored. Things are a bit dirty and messy outside the beach clubs. Access inside the land is poor. Boat access is a bit chaotic.

    Not the location for me with my wife more for the younger...

    Not the location for me with my wife more for the younger backpackers type. Would not recommend. No sandy beach. Difficult to get in to the sea for swimming / snorkelling. If you stay on the sea front it looks fine but as soon as you venture off the front the. Island is not the best in terms of cleanliness.

    There are no cars on Gili T.

    There are no cars on Gili T. Only bicycles, e-bikes and horse carts. But it can get very busy (human traffic) in the SE of the island. You can walk/run/cycle around the entire island in less than an hour. Terrain is pretty flat. Snorkeling is a must do, particularly to look for the Gili Meno turtles. Food options are plentiful but the taste may not be as good as on Lombok Island. All in all, a lovely & relaxing stay!

    More popular than the other Gili islands, but yet, not too...

    More popular than the other Gili islands, but yet, not too crowded. It has enough places to suit all kinds of people--young and want to party? Head to the harbour. Want quiet beach-side luxury or other experiences, head to the other parts of the island. Great for snorkelling or diving. Just be mindful of the rough ferry ride over from Bali.

    Sea Side Hotel in Gili Trawangan was a great stay! The room was very clean, cozy, and well-maintained — perfect for relaxing after a day out. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance to all the main spots, restaurants, and the beach. While you can hear the call to prayer from the nearby mosque, it didn’t bother us and is part of the local charm. Overall, a peaceful and convenient place to stay. We'd happily come back!

    Although not the cheapest option in the Gili Trawangan delivers excellent value for the experience It provides. It's worth every penny for the level of comfort and servise we received. I enjoyed a cocktails by pool bar while talking to Ryan and Kuss. My stay at Gili Ocean Club was nothing short of exceptional. Rooms, pool and great breakfast top-notch servis and amenities, it's a true gem in the Gili Trawangan.
