We had a great experience staying in Pearl Sunset Resort. Excellent and clean facilities and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as relaxing as possible. Delicious breakfast and many options for lunch and dinner! We can but recommend the place and we hope to come back soon!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this hotel and was surprised with amazing and outstanding staff and services. The employees were friendly and helpful, making the experience very pleasant. Every employee was knowledgeable about the products and services offered, and they took the time to explain everything in detail. The staff was also very accommodating and went out of their way to make sure my needs were met. They even offered suggestions and advice for how to make the most out of my visit. I was very impressed with the level of service and professionalism of the staff and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great customer service.

I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment I arrived until check-out, everything was simply flawless. The staff were exceptionally warm, welcoming, and attentive always ready to assist with a smile. The room well-designed, and incredibly comfortable, with all the amenities I could need. The attention to detail in both the decor and service was impressive. The location was ideal ,close to the beach, city center, and nature ,yet peaceful and relaxing. My experience at Cocana has completely turned my view of Gili hospitality upside down One of those rare cases where I had absolutely nothing to complain about. The hotel is brand new and clearly hungry to provide the best possible service. Key highlights: 1) Cocana is a boutique-level hotel, that easily competes with renowned 5-star franchises (W,Six Senses, etc.) and challenges the typical 'downshifters chill' vibe of Gili. 2) Everything is fresh and new, with a great focus on scents. 3) Design-wise - it's tasteful and cozy, without any gaudiness. 4) Attention to the little things: beach bags, eco-friendly cosmetics, comfy slippers, cozy robes, etc. 5) The staff is well-trained, and attentive without being overpleasing. Speaks English fluently, and is super responsive. 6) Their Mistral resto offers killer cocktails and exceptional prawn Gaspacho I couldn’t resist having every day for lunch. In sum, Cocana beats many fancy hotels in Bali that would charge you 3X more for no reason. On the last note, there's a cool private beach area, spa, and gym. Loved it and highly recommend it!

Overall the hotel is pleasant, the room and outside pool was very clean. The area is super quiet. There was a mini bar with beverages which was very convenient in the evenings. The staff was super helpful with all our needs. They gave us extra towels and cleaned our room every day. There is available toiletries as well. For breakfast we had multiple available options as per our choice and was brought to our room at our preferred time.

    If you are over 35, or a couple, this island may not be for...

    If you are over 35, or a couple, this island may not be for you. Gili T is more for partying and Instagram people. The centre of the village is just crammed with horse carts, ebikes, bicycles and people. It is not really very relaxing to stroll around. Prices are higher than everywhere else (e.g. Bali or Gili A). At night it is just a mass of people drinking shots, and partying hard. EVERYONE is there to take pictures of themselves. So there are all these strange activities, like a sunrise paddleboard tour that lasts about 15 minutes (sole purpose is to take photos) or sunset horseback riding that takes 10-15 minutes (sole purpose is to take photos). No one hangs out and just vibes - it's all about the photos. I am also aware that Gili T is a muslim island and the swim suits that women were wearing were just indecent. I just wonder what the locals think about it. But the island itself, the diving, the snorkeling, the turtles are all great. The locals are fun and very cool. Honestly, there is nothing that can be done about the tourists... everyone is obsessed with photographing themselves these days and showing off their bare bottom.

    Gili T has lots of potential, but at the moment it feels a bit overcrowded and overexplored. Things are a bit dirty and messy outside the beach clubs. Access inside the land is poor. Boat access is a bit chaotic.

    Not the location for me with my wife more for the younger...

    Not the location for me with my wife more for the younger backpackers type. Would not recommend. No sandy beach. Difficult to get in to the sea for swimming / snorkelling. If you stay on the sea front it looks fine but as soon as you venture off the front the. Island is not the best in terms of cleanliness.

    There are no cars on Gili T.

    There are no cars on Gili T. Only bicycles, e-bikes and horse carts. But it can get very busy (human traffic) in the SE of the island. You can walk/run/cycle around the entire island in less than an hour. Terrain is pretty flat. Snorkeling is a must do, particularly to look for the Gili Meno turtles. Food options are plentiful but the taste may not be as good as on Lombok Island. All in all, a lovely & relaxing stay!

    More popular than the other Gili islands, but yet, not too...

    More popular than the other Gili islands, but yet, not too crowded. It has enough places to suit all kinds of people--young and want to party? Head to the harbour. Want quiet beach-side luxury or other experiences, head to the other parts of the island. Great for snorkelling or diving. Just be mindful of the rough ferry ride over from Bali.

    very good host who was very helpful. we ended up staying in the room one extra night, which we booked directly with our host. the price of the homestay was amazing considering the homestay included breakfast, which was very delicious. after we had stayed in our room for one night we noticed that our toilet was leaking, which we informed our host about, and we were able to get a new room. definitely recommend this place for a good, comfortable, cheap homestay in Gili Trawangan.
