Staff were very accommodating. The hotel was built with no budget, looks great. Will definitely stay again. Swimming pool was great, not too much chlorine. The children loved it. Breakfast was great, they gave us extra meals for the kids and were very accommodating when we had to customise the meals for the children. Five stars from me. And I don't give the away easy. Bed was huge and very comfortable.

I never planned to stay in the area but after a terrible boat journey I decided to stay here at the last moment. I'm so glad I did. Chris was possibly the best host I've ever experienced, gave me tons of recommendations all of which turned out to be great. There are two very nice beaches close by with some really great snorkeling spots. I was able to rent a snorkel from the hotel. Good restaurants near by. Comfortable bed, warm shower, good breakfast. They have everything you could want available. Good air conditioning. I was originally meant to just pass through the town but I ended up staying for two nights

    Contrary to some reviews of Padangbai being a dodgy back...

    Contrary to some reviews of Padangbai being a dodgy back water town, we found it to be a hidden gem. Lovely beaches and good places to swim and snorkel. Much smaller than I anticipated and far less humbug and mass tourism than other parts of Bali. Would definitely recommend staying here a couple of days, especially if catching an onward boat to other islands in Indonesia.

    There is a photo of Padang Bai in the right upper corner of this page. I wonder where it was taken because Padang Bai does not look anything like that! Padang Bai is a bussy port and the beach is not suitable for swimming! This is not a place to spend holidays.

    Amazing location close to the harbour to take the boat to Gili islands. We checked in almost 3am in the morning because our flight got delayed and they were very comprehensive about it, Excelent breakfast, the owner is so helpful and kind. amazing rooms for only one or 2 nights. I strong recommend this place.

    We thought we might need a night to stop over before getting...

    We thought we might need a night to stop over before getting the boat onto the Gili islands but in hindsight we could have done it all in the same day. There is not much happening here so I do not recommend staying long, there are some nice cafes to chill at if you are here. There appears to be some diving schools if that is what you are looking for. Recommend Omang Omang restaurant and bar for nightlife, good food options and bands playing.

    Very busy with travellers during the day, either in transit by ferry to and from the ferries or on diving/snorkelling trips. Quiet at night with plenty of places to eat. One or two nights is plenty for a visit

    Convenient for our purpose as a link to the Gilis and Lombok...

    Convenient for our purpose as a link to the Gilis and Lombok...most people were in transit to these destinations as Padang Bai is a ferry port. Wouldn't recommend for a beach holiday but more than adequate for the reasons stated. We we out of season so less human traffic. Not for us in High Season.

    The staff are super friendly, our grab taxi dropped us at the port instead of the hotel and we messaged the hotel on here and they came and picked us up at no charge and brought us to the hotel. The pool is clean and facilities are ideal for a one night stay before getting a boat to Gili. You can walk to the blue lagoon beach as something to do during the day. I recommend booking the bot to gili through the hotel too as it’s cheaper than online and they take you to the port!

    This place was a haven of calm on the East Coast of Bali. We were diving in Padang Bai, which is quite a busy area and it was wonderful to be able to retreat to Bhalance in the evenings for peace and serenity. My wife was a huge fan of the sauna and my daughter and I made use of the swimming pool extensively. The breakfast were very good and very tasty.

    Great hotel very close to Padangbai Pier for fast boat transfers to the Gili islands and Lombok. We only stayed for one night but we really liked the place. The owner kindly arranged for a driver to pick us up from the airport for 450k which is good value.
