This was an amazing experience! The place was beautiful, very clean, and had the best breakfast of our entire trip to Bali—buffet style and delicious. Great location, close to restaurants and the beach. The staff was incredibly friendly, and they even offered a complimentary 10-minute massage, which was amazing! Plus, they have more massage options available.

Located at the beach (gorgeous place to watch the sunrise), but still felt private with hedges and a gate. Staff were exceptionally friendly, communicative about transport and accommodation needs, and ensured we were comfortable. The bed was surprisingly comfortable given I’m usually someone that needs to “adjust” to new beds. Clean and excellent property with an outdoor shower and good breakfast too. Can’t go wrong.

Setting the Standard

Bali’s oldest beach resort retains its reputation as a glamorous alternative to nearby Kuta. The coastline of Sanur has a long stretch of white sand lined with restaurants and bars. It is tailor made for chic clientele or families wanting to relax in an exclusive resort or villa without the need to party into the wee hours.

Sanur is also a popular day trip destination for tourists staying in Kuta looking to do some water sports. There are many companies offering diving along its submerged outer reef, jet skiing on top of its blue waters or paragliding in the cool breezes above this ocean paradise.

The shoreline features a cycle path that is also perfect for walking and jogging. At its very northern tip is the ferry terminal that offers boat trips to Nusa Lembongan, a small island off the southeast coast of Bali that is famous for its laid-back atmosphere.

Sanur has its fair share of markets providing an impressive range of artistic handicrafts such as wood carvings and batik paintings. Best of these are the Sindhu Market and the daytime beachfront market.

    Sanur like other places in Bali is busy, but the new Icon shopping centre has everything one needs, of course there is still Arte Sedana the traditional balinese shop, with the Peri Plus Bookstore. The Beaches and Hotels are beautiful, again all busy and all preferred by European Travellers, French, Germans, Dutch and English people.

    The new Icon Bali Shopping Mall is wonderful and opens out at one end onto the Beach. Lovely restaurants and Cafes and also Some High End shops for the Rich Tourists!! However, the road and pedestrian Footpaths out front on the main road ( Jalan Danau Tamblingan) are appalling. Much extra care needs to be taken if walking along this road to explore outside the Mall. A trip hazard at almost every step. I'm not exaggerating!

    I love Sanur this is my 3rd time staying in Sanur its...

    I love Sanur this is my 3rd time staying in Sanur its quieter than Kuta & Seminyak however there is still plenty to do. Sanur is really close to the Airport and the location is perfect for those who want to go out to the islands like Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, and Nusa Ceningan.

    Sanur is much quieter than Kuta, overall facilities good. Good beach path so good for bicycles and walking. Beach is very clean and protected. Good restaurants everywhere. Only 30 minutes to Kuta. and airport. Taxi to Kuta 134000 IDR.

    Sanur has a huge variety of fantastic Warungs. It is getting very busy these days with too many shops that all sell the same. The shuttle bus is very handy. The beach site is really nice and perfect for early morning walks and see the sun rise. A lot of noise and dust in the main street due to changing the water mains and digging up the foot paths.

    It was my 3rd time staying here. It is one of the older hotels along the beach, but well kept up, some aspects are dated but in good condition. There are some much more expensive resorts either side, which you can take advantage of for meals and happy hour. Plenty of places to eat nearby and is in a very nice location right on the beach. The rooms are balinese in decor, which is really nice as a tourist. Staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend Paneeda View as a place to stay in Sanur.

    This was my fourth time staying in this hotel. Location is perfect and the breakfast buffet is the best I've seen anywhere in Indonesia. It's close to everything in Sanur, but once you are back in the hotel, it's pretty quiet again. Staff is super friendly and is always willing to help you with anything. My "home away from home" whenever I visit Bali.

    It is a great hotel for families with a great entertainment area although there were balls missing from the pool table, etc. A nice kids pool area with slide. The 2 bedroom rooms were amazing and had 2 bathrooms as well. There is a gate at the back to access the main sanur area but it closes early.
