Was exhausted after Mt.
Was exhausted after Mt. Rinjani climb and this impacted on my exploration of the wider area, which I would've liked to have done more of. Also despite being officially the 'dry season', the weather was often overcast and rainy. I think had things been slightly different and I had had more time, the experience would have been better.. Amazing place and highly recommend. It’s a combination of slow living, being in nature and an amazing homestay experience! Not much do to except for hiking, seeing the local way of living and relaxing, that totally fits us :) thank you Awan, Nip en Sukma for the nice stay, the good food and the playing with the necklace ;) Small bit of feedback: make sure you let them know early if you want to have food on a specific time - especially when you have plans. If you’re going in Ramadan period, take your earplugs with you. There are lots of mosque sounds through speakers, also at night. So sleeping can be a bit of a challenge. The waterfall walk at Senaru was a bit slippery, and the trek to the main waterfall requires sensible shoes and includes crossing the creek, so you will get wet feet. We didn't use a guide but reccommend you do as it is not always clear where to go. We also uses the scooter riders instead of waling back up the hill. Well worth it, some great views over the valley, but the track is narrow and steep on one side so if you are afraid of heights maybe think twice.Guest review byAndreaAustralia
