The beauty of the area was what I had hoped to find in Indonesia. It just took a bit to find it. A windy journey up into the hills made for an exhilarating welcome to the mountainous area of Bali. A lovely escape from the scooters & vehicles of Ubud & Legian, I can highly recommend the rice field walk & a visit to Gembleng Waterfall. Up in the mountains for a breath of fresh air. Waterfalls are plenty and easy accessable by scooter or car. Plenty of eateries and places to make your own silver ring. Sidemen is very beautiful place to visit and stay.
Sidemen is very beautiful place to visit and stay. It is very calm and peaceful with the stunning nature. Local people are very welcoming and helpful. But in my case I struggled to get around. I’m a solo traveler, who unfortunately doesn’t ride motorbike. So unless you hire private driver (which can be pricey when traveling solo) you just have to walk around. I love long walks, but be ready that there are many stray dogs, which were very very scary for me. They seemed quite aggressive - barking, heading towards… I ended up asking local people for help and drive me where I needed in the middle of my “walk”. So it is really perfect place to relax and calm mind, but if you don’t drive and you are on a budget, 1-2 days will be enough.Guest review byDanielaSlovakia

Our room was huge, comfortable, clean, & well appointed. The staff were kind, courteous, and friendly. The restaurant was being renovated but the room service meals and cocktails were great and reasonably priced. Our infinity pool was huge and we spent hours lounging around just watching Mt Agung reveal itself in its many glorious moods.
