The beauty of the area was what I had hoped to find in Indonesia. It just took a bit to find it. A windy journey up into the hills made for an exhilarating welcome to the mountainous area of Bali. A lovely escape from the scooters & vehicles of Ubud & Legian, I can highly recommend the rice field walk & a visit to Gembleng Waterfall. Up in the mountains for a breath of fresh air. Waterfalls are plenty and easy accessable by scooter or car. Plenty of eateries and places to make your own silver ring. Sidemen is very beautiful place to visit and stay.
Sidemen is very beautiful place to visit and stay. It is very calm and peaceful with the stunning nature. Local people are very welcoming and helpful. But in my case I struggled to get around. I’m a solo traveler, who unfortunately doesn’t ride motorbike. So unless you hire private driver (which can be pricey when traveling solo) you just have to walk around. I love long walks, but be ready that there are many stray dogs, which were very very scary for me. They seemed quite aggressive - barking, heading towards… I ended up asking local people for help and drive me where I needed in the middle of my “walk”. So it is really perfect place to relax and calm mind, but if you don’t drive and you are on a budget, 1-2 days will be enough.Guest review byDanielaSlovakia

The hotel is very well located in Sidemen, a quite village, and you can see the river from you room. The room is spacious with a great bathroom, with a living room and even a kitchen with all the machines available. The breakfast is delivred to the room each morning, there's no lunch or dinner but you can deliver food from a partner restaurant and pay at the check out (food is okay, bot great). The owner (Jack) is super helpful, and if you get the chance go on his day tour of rice paddies, local village life, a beautiful waterfall, and lunch at his sister's house.
