It's a good place to travel around and see the Balinese culture and the art and their craft. Whether it is a little hot it's around 32C. Even tho its a rainy season it was pretty sunny during the day.
It is not as busy as other areas (like Kuta or Denpasar). The access to Ubud or the coast is quite easy. A lot of attractions nearby (especially if you are an animal or nature lover). Some areas might be dirty because of burning the garbage at the streets.
Didn't spend time much in Sukawati itself since we did all our shopping and dining out in Ubud. However, we did see that there was an art market there and lots of craftspeople lined the streets. We were disappointed with Tegenungan waterfall. We most enjoyed walking around the rice fields near Mandala Desa. If you are looking for nightlife and excitement, stay in Ubud.
This island was amazing. The family as to whom we stayed at treated us a their own family. This island has so many hidden gems. I wish we could've stayed longer to explore more of the island. The locals are very welcoming.
Sukawati is a quiet part of Bali between Sanur, Kuta and Ubud. Tourists are spot not too far to get to as long as your have a driver or hire car/bike. This is an area which is good to pre-plan your activities as the temples and activities are very spaced out. Also you must give Bali Zoo a visit as well !
The hidden canyon is amazing and 100% worth a trip to Sukawati but you don't really need to stay in Sukawati to experience it, just get a driver to take you from your hotel somewhere else in Bali. The art market is the other things to do and it sounded nice on paper but the reality is simply a bunch of mostly factory produced clothing and souvenirs with no real cultural significance. Taxis will try charge you three arms and a leg, make sure you only get BlueBird taxis with metres.
Lovely staff, very helpful in telling us where things were in relation to the hotel. Beautifully clean and tidy, the staff led us to our room which had a swan towel display. Explained everything to us and was very easy. Ordered room service for a specific time and they were right on the dot! Very relaxed end to our stay in Bali. We got complimentary breakfast and there were so many choices... all very decent sized and delicious!
I like about the staff were sooooo accomodating. The two bedroom villa is so beautiful. It was very elegant. Very comfortable place to stay. Actually the whole villa, garden, pool are were very beautiful. I will surely suggesting this place who's planning to book in villa in Bali.
Rooms were very nice. Nicest finishings of the hotels I've stayed at in Bali. Owner drove us to Celuk a couple times for free and was very nice. Free shuttle to and from ubud and sanur sundays and wednesdays
Excellent price / quality ratio, nice swimming pool, kitchen with free coffee. Location wise a bit far from Ubud, but we enjoyed our rides choosing less crowded routes.
Situated in a rural area agriculturally developed the hotel offers beatiful views. Lush green rice fields the northern mountains and fresh morning air.
Breakfast and food was the best bit for this hotel. There was also free transport for anything less than 2 miles away which was handy.
We stayed here for the second time. The staff is so helpful and friendly. It's one of the nicest places in Bali we know.
