Loved many aspects of my stay - beautiful interior decor, clean & spacious rooms, proximity to the shops & the fabulous staff! 😊 The hotel staff are attentive to detail & will go the extra mile, which is especially important since I had an elderly parent on a wheelchair in my travel group. Truly appreciate the efficient transport arrangement by the concierge, the signature welcome at reception, the cute elephant towels by housekeeping and the accommodating staff at Magnolia & Club Floor! I would definitely choose to stay at the Westin again when in Surabaya!

My review may be biased because the hotel went above and beyond to help us, more in a minute about that. The hotel is in a good location, close to a couple of malls (if that is your thing), and a good location to use as a jump off point for tours. They have a nice lobby to wait for your ride in. The hotel seems to handle a lot of tours and as such has a pretty complete menu to choose from. The restaurant is open early to late, has an expresso machine (!!!!) and seems to always be fully staffed. There are lots of plugs around the dinning room if you want to just go down and have a coffee and work. The room was clean, the shower had great water pressure and anything we needed they were very responsive to. Now, on our check out day, there was a big parade that closed down all the streets in the area and our taxi couldn’t make it to the hotel!!! The staff immediately recognized the situation and had two staff use their personal scooters to ferry us (and our luggage!) out of the area and meet the taxi (who they talked to and coordinated our pickup!). They saved us making our flight. Kudos to that staff.

After looking for a nice hotel for a good price to start our honeymoon excursion we landed on the four points Sheraton. After booking I put a small note that it was our honeymoon and almost jokingly asked for a room high up ( who doesn’t love a city view) they responded promptly and said if possible they would do what they can. From the second we stepped in the service was awesome. When checking in the front desk agent said I see you guys are here for your honeymoon, which I thought was cool because who actually reads the hotel requests. After getting our keys I noticed they put us on the second to the top floor! We walked into what was immaculate room- my wife went right over to the window to look at the city and almost missed that they set us up with a beautiful dessert with happy honeymoon written on it! What a wonderful way to start our trip! Went down to the bar for some killer cocktails and had a great dinner too. We were only staying there one night as a quick stop before staring out trip- but I woulda stayed there for a week!

Breakfast was incredible. Many of the reviews say "continental breakfast", but in reality, there were many more options than a continental breakfast. The rooms are very modern and clean. They feel luxurious. There is a rooftop pool with a great view, which we loved. The hotel is in a great location, close to many of the attractions in the city.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The hotel had a gym and a restaurant which was a bonus. The location was good a short grab ride away from the train station and 20 minute walk to a mall and plenty of cafes. I would recommend and stay again.

    My last visit to Surabaya was about 10 years ago. The city had transformed to be nicer and cleaner. Shopping malls were excellent now, cleaner. Keep it up. Surprisingly bluebird taxis were still available, but driver's honesty was questionable at times (meter rates).

    Surabaya is a good stepping stone for other places. We didn’t really tour the city, mainly because we had other plans around it. The air quality was a bit disturbing. There were a lot of accomodation options, which was good. Would recommend it if you want to see ruins nearby or fly to Pangkalan Bun (Kalimantan).

    Well Surabaya has been improving a lot now, for example it widened the main road like jl Ahmad Yani and others. clean gardens, and traffic was not so bad actually. it is easy to get around. our fav resto is Beatus alfresco Grill N Dining for sure. it was a very short trip 2 nights but fulfilled the purpose of the trip.

    Movenpick hotel is very clean, nice big rooms with wonderful, amazing & friendly staff Elsa, Shanaz, Mali, Tyas. Elsa the boss of housekeeping team made my room every day, clean, nice smell. Every night when I come to my room made me very happy, clean & nice smell. Good girl Elsa. Shanaz, Mali & Tyas were my guides. Everyday they arrange my trip & I really enjoyed. God bless there hearts. Mali, Tyas & Shanaz were helping me to order Grab& Places to visit. The best customer service, friendly with lots of smile. Very respectful staff & wonderful service.

    On arrival, we were upgraded to a suite, which was unexpected. The suite was fantastic, lounge area, bedroom and bathroom. The staff are great they are so welcoming and do everything to make your stay special. The hotel has all the amenities you need, a nice restaurant, a large swimming pool and spa. The grounds within the hotel are very peaceful and well kept, and the hotel has kept its old charm. Overall the hotel was very good value for money, certainly go back if in surabaya.

    This is a world class hotel with really helpful staff. It's connected to a giant shopping centre (Pakuwon Mall in West Surabaya) and has a well equipped gym, a big outdoor pool and nice breakfast buffet. The rooms are super clean and the beds are really comfortable. A great choice for families.
