The pool is amazing, you can access to the pool directly from the balcony. Also the room is very spacious, clean. You can see every corner decorated with cute little egg flowers! The welcoming drink and the leaving drink were unexpectedly tasty too! The best stay in Ubud so far!

We stayed for 5 nights at Sapodilla Ubud for our honeymoon. It was a great pleasure to stay there. Sapodilla has a good location , it has a lot of restaurants nearby from different cuisines. Also very close location to monkey forest. For other locations around Ubud they are ready to help you with shuttle service (drop and pick up). They provide a cell phone to you for pick up service. Sapodilla also have a nice pool and rooms are spacious and clean. But best thing was Sapodilla team , they are very friendly and ready to help you with everything. My birthday was during our stay at Sapodilla , even though me or my wife didn’t mention about it they made a surprise to us with birthday cake and some decorations. We felt really happy and surprised. We recommend Sapodilla for Ubud holiday , it has a good location , facilities , services and most importantly a friendly team that is ready to help. If we ever visit Ubud again we wish to stay here again

Great location and a relief to have access to air conditioning during a series of very hot days. Room was wonderful and we frequented the restaurant multiple times including an unforgettable Indonesian cooking class. Great location near the monkey sanctuary, so occasional visitors to the area as well.

FAQs about hotels in Ubud

Bali's Peaceful Retreat

If you are seeking a hideaway from Bali’s chaotic Kuta, Ubud provides a welcome respite with its secluded paths, calming temples and specialised spa resorts. Surrounded by rice paddies, coconut trees and lush forests of green, Ubud is seen as the cultural centre of Bali.

The road leading up to Ubud features little villages specialising in handicrafts like Celuk (silver jewellery), Batuan (paintings) and Mas (wood carvings). Ubud, itself, produces all sorts of handicrafts in its peaceful foothills. There are also numerous art galleries, workshops and courses on offer for the budding artist.

The Monkey Forest is a popular tourist drawcard with its ravenous monkey population lunging at anything resembling food. The 9th-century Goa Gajah, or Elephant Cave, showcases the island’s historic past and there is the regular Ubud Market for modern-day souvenir hunters.

Ubud is a place for relaxation and many yoga and meditation centres have developed over the years on Indonesia’s most popular island. Booking.com offers a range of guest houses, villas, bungalows and world-class resorts with spa facilities or pool.

Touring around with Rati in a 1977 VW convertible was a treat. The verdant green of the countryside and rice fields was lovely. We took a dip beneath a huge waterfall, participated in a purification ceremony, drank Luwak coffee and got to pat the Luwaks, plus my wife enjoyed a photo shoot as she was swung out high above the rice paddi's. The rustic charm of daily life in Ubud and the zest of the people preparing for their bi-annual ceremony was lovely to see. Ubud is a symphony for the senses and our choice of hotel at Kuwarasan A Pramana just added to what was a wonderful first experience of Bali. We hope to return soon to experience what we missed this time i.e the Water Palace and ziplining.

With the congestion near the palace, the traffic flow is hellish. At thew wrong time of day, you barely move. Even walking is an issue as it was Very busy during our stay. I enjoyed our time there, but would spend less than the 5 days we had there. In saying that, we have been here before

30 years since I stayed in Ubud and it was unrecognisable - busy, crowded, endless traffic jams and dangerously pitted footpaths. Even so it was lively and interesting and the accomodation I chose even though close to the Centre managed to be tranquil and quiet.

This place is Magic. Surrounded by jungle and rice fields. The locals are beautiful people, their culture and beliefs are so strong it’s so beautiful. Ubud is a beautiful place to visit. Respect their culture, and tip them. It’s not a lot to us, but it is to them. Tip them please they deserve it for letting us into their lands.

Villa is just beautiful in a lovely and quiet local village, lots to eat locally and nice restaurants / hotels you can walk to. Short drive to UBUD and a local waterfall. Wayan and Wulan are delightful and super helpful hosts and organised in villa massage and a wonderful traditional smoked duck dinner for us. Hubby did the best cooking class he's been to in Bali in a traditional compound with a trip to the local markets locally as well. We will be back again, definitely for longer!

Our one bedroom villa with private pool far exceeded expectations. It was a stunning experience to stay there, the pool was stunning as were the other facilities. The hotel is very long and narrow and sits between rice fields on both sides so there’s a wonderful blend of nature and the busy hubbub of Ubud. Well located near restaurants and the monkey forest which I suggest getting to as soon as it opens. The staff were lovely and super helpful.

The room was absolutely amazing. Private pool and view across the rice fields was beautiful. Staff were wonderful. The breakfast was good but not the very best we've had at hotels, which was the only small thing that made me rate 9 instead of 10. But otherwise it was an absolutely wonderful stay and I'd highly recommend.

This is the best place we’ve been on Bali. Just at the outskirts of Ubud. We had the family villa with private pool. Putu helped us with everything we needed or responded quick, and the breakfasts were a gem every morning. Instead of some villas this one is just off the main road, making the traffic noise less.

Quiet and serene, private dip pool was clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. This was by far one of the best hotels/villas we have stayed at in bali to date. Nice and close to Monkey Forest, easy walking distance to restaurants, tattoo parlours, main shopping yet quiet and you cant tell how close you are.
