Dergfield House B&B offers accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. The bed and breakfast offers a seating area with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries and shower. A very warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. The family room is excellent: We were 4 in the group but there are 5 beds which is great for larger families :-) Our kids loved the pool table and darts in the lounge (and the emergency cookies in the bedroom!) Breakfast is also excellent - all freshly cooked to order and a great variety. We wouldn't hesitate to come back again and recommend to friends.

The place was lovely just wasn’t happy with the front desk staff and the way he handled my questions before my stay got the feeling he didn’t care but the hotel was lovely , it’s just a pity one person could put a downer on the stay.
I highly recommend going a walk around Drumboe Woods and seeing the fairy tree and doors. I also went to see the Priests Rock and Ballaun Stone but was very disappointed that I didn’t get to see the waterfall or the murder hole but it is on private property and there are warnings about trespassing. For shopping you simply have to go to McElhinneys. I stayed in Jackson’s hotel and had a fantastic stay, 9/10, just their disappointing leisure facilities which need badly upgraded let them down. The nighttime entertainment on a Tuesday was a bonus and even though I was on my own I had a great time.
We only stayed one night so we did not get to have a look around Ballybofey. We had a meal in the restaurant because it was my brother and sister-in-laws anniversary and they brought out the cheesecake with a sparkle on top with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate which was a surprise. Very nice indeed.
I have been visiting Ballybofey for years and always enjoy my trips. The volumne of traffic still going through the town surprises me ,i was expecting the town to be Bypassed to allow tourists enjoy their walks to the shops.
Ballybofey is a beautiful place, there's plenty to do, would highly recommend. We have stayed at The Villa Rose Hotel and Jackson's Hotel l would highly recommend these Hotels but Jackson's hotel was my favourite by far.
I liked the peace and quiet, scenery and location. Also the house had everything you could need. It's very very isolated with no Internet and very little phone coverage. Which was wonderful but I wish I had known in advance of arriving.

Miranda is an outstanding host, and very accommodating. She is one to go the extra mile. Morning breakfasts offered a wide variety of options and the food was delicious, full Irish breakfast, homemade breads and healthy options, catered to each individual likes. She adapted to our schedule, so we never felt rushed. All the comforts of home without the chores! Also the local Jackson hotel was terrific for food and live entertainment and McKelveys Pub right across the street has fantastic trad music sessions every Wednesday night!

The house it’s self was breathtaking, beautiful inside and out. Anne and her husband were amazing. They knew a lot about Ballybofey and the surrounding towns. Our room was the cleanest room I’ve ever stayed in, and Big! We had a smart TV and were able to log in to Netflix in the evening. The breakfast was out of this world!!! We had cereals to choose from and a BIG delicious fry up! Check out was easy and we loved it!! Very lucky to have stayed here! Thank you!

Cracking house in Ballybofey. House is cosy for nights in and only a short walk to the local town for nights out. We made dinner in the house and had all that we needed to cook with. The owner of the house was super accommodating and jumped off the sofa to get us sorted at the last minute.

Loved the pool / sauna / jacuzzi. We ate in the hotel bar which was very busy and noisy but fair enough on a Friday night! Reasonable prices for hotel food. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable
