Beautiful town to visit and also there are lovely places to visit surrounding it. Great places to eat , we ate tapas in Mimosa...super! Visual is a wonderful arts venue with a lovely cafe/restaurant. Above all the people are very friendly!
A nice town and easily accessible on foot . Carlow garden trail is worthwhile , especially snowdrops in Altamont . Carlow town is busy but relaxed and Clink hotel restaurant has very nice dinner menu .
Just arrive from 2 nights short break with my family. Was given room with joining doors to the room next door. Nightmare come in the evening when the people next door arrived. We literally heard EVERYTHING , first they had a sex , after there kids arrived from kids club shouting screaming evening continued through night , very loud TV , and lights through door frame. This room shouldn't be given unless it's a family or extended family or friends. Having 3 years and 4 years old children so it was really inappropriate!!! We had absolutely no sleep that night and specially after the journey was very upset.Went at night to the reception and was given another room for the next day. Didn't want to move in the middle of the night with two small kids. So after all very disappointed , would not go back. Can't fault girls in the reception they are lovely doing great job.Same the breakfast.
Lovely small town. My partner played golf in Carlow golf club whilst I met a friend and spent the day in nearby arboretum garden and home Centre. Superb place. We ate in the Teach Dolmen fab food and very friendly staff and we also ate in the Arboretum again faultless.
Great village to visit. Have family there, so extra special. Had lovely weather. Enjoyed walking around town viewing gorgeous flowers everywhere. All shops, streets, had beautiful flowers on display. Loved the colorful buildings, very friendly locals. Especially liked the restaurants and pubs. Great food, service and drinks.👏👍. Best of all, the historical, and Mother Nature's scenery. Breathtaking ❤️.
Lovely town, Had all I needed in shops and was very easy to walk and drive around. Fantastic restaurants e.g. Mimosa Tapas bar (fantastic). Beautiful walk by the River Barrow. Seven Oaks hotel was gorgeous.
