Many families visiting Clonmel loved staying at Hotel Minella & Leisure Centre, Mulcahys, and Raheen House Hotel.
Raheen House a great place to stay. Strolling through the Denis Burke Park and walking the walks along by the Suir River. Our dinners in Raheen House, and The Mani Restaurant were lovely. We really enjoyed the Trad Music in Bakers Bar, which is on every Monday night. It is very easy to get around Clonmel by walking. We enjoyed our stay in Clonmel, in Raheen House so much, we would definitely return to stay there again.
So many historic sites to visit, the *best* Norman castle in Ireland, maybe even the whole of Europe, right down the road about one half hour drive. Lots of cute restaurants, cafes nearby. Very good walking in all directions, riding opportunities abound! Tipperary is gorgeous.
Good for food and drinks and nice walks. Shopping 🛍 centre and town shops of a good quality. Sean Tierneys and Mania restaurant are very good. I am afraid that Hearns Hotel needs a total revamp and would not stay there again. Clonmel is a nice clean compact town.
Clonmel is a base for beautiful rural scenery (by car) and easy access to e.g the spectacular 12th Century castle “the Rock of Cashel. Raheen House in Clonmel is , overall, a very pleasant place to stay, and close to town centre as well as as to beautiful River Suir walk. There are some very important historic artifacts in Clonmel itself.
A beautiful town located in the valley of The Comeragh, Knockmealdown and Slievenamon mountain ranges. The town is kept very clean and is a great shopping town. All of the shops we visited the staff were exceptionally helpful and engaging. There are some beautiful walks in the Town also especially along the Suir river bank as it makes it's way towards Waterford. While our stay was for only a couple of days and due to the Covid epidemic most of the pubs, etc. were closed a furher longer visit and stay in Clonmel is definitely on the cards.
Clonmel is a gem of a town. Great atmosphere, lots of history, beautiful location on the Suir. I cycled the Blue Way(?) from Clonmel along the Suir to Carrick-on-Suir. Wow, it is absolutely idyllic. Most tourists probably miss Clonmel, which is a real pity.

Due to Covid 19 and social distancing we were unable to have breakfast in the dining room but the hotel provided a fridge in the room with plenty of cereal, fruit, yoghurt, juice, bread etc. More than enough to eat! A really nice touch. Big bedroom with wonderfully comfortable beds and a big bathroom. It was ideally located and within walking distance to the town centre.

This is my third time staying at the Raheen House. The quaintness and the charm of the facility makes it one of my favorite places to stay when I come to Ireland. The food is wonderful and the staff are some of friendliest you will ever meet.
The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful, the Spanish/Italian food at the restaurant was delicious, and the rooms were comfortable. It’s very well located within Clonmel too - just around the corner from the main town streets.
Very beatiful hotel with a lot of history. Very friendly and helpfull staff.
The staff was great- really felt we experienced Ireland
worst hotel staff don’t have manners to talk
No breakfast facilities for a normal hotel
