Very nice hotel. Had food in the bar on our first night and it was very tasty. I also sampled a 'Sex on the Beach' and it was yummy. Had breakfast both mornings and we both liked that it was self-service. Great variety of food to choose from. The room was lovely.

This beautiful old Georgian house from 1832 has views of the Suir River, and 3.5 acres of gardens at the foot of the Comeragh Mountains.
From the moment I arrived I was treated like a member of the family. I was asked many times if I needed anything to eat or drink especially after my long flight. The staff could not do enough for me. Even with the construction going on, which btw I didn’t mind it’s lovely to see this old house being well taken care of. But if I wanted they would have moved me to the front of the house so the construction would not bother me. The food was amazing, the staff amazing but the house it’s self stunning like stepping back in time. This old house has so much history and is surrounded by beautiful gardens and is situated along the river suir. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

Clonmel is a historic town in Co. Tipperary with portions of the old town walls particularly around the Protestant church, The "Main Guard" was the centre of the town - free opening - and there is another perfectly sized museum also. Lots of wide streets, old shop facades, lovely friendly people, and a fine river.
We lived in Clonmel for more than 16 years and love it. The people are friendly and there are a lot of clubs, a good movie theater, lots of shops. Lots of flowers planted and the views of the mountains is splendid. It's a lovely town that is busy, but not too busy. Lots of good food. It's a wonderful little Irish town.
Children can go to the swimming pool just from 9.30am till 6.30 pm... It good to know in advance... We almost miss our swimming time as we didn't know that.... Nice hotel. We would like to stay there again...
The Blueway to Carrick on Shannon is a wonderful ride on the bike. Even in sopping wet weather! But, much better on a sunny day. Lots of things to see and do around the area. A treasure of history awaits any curious traveller.
The Breakfast and Dinner dining here were excellent. The choice and enjoyment of the evening menu was truly marvellous. I had two of their offerings which were both fabulous. I will somehow make this a regular stopping spot in my Irish travels. The staff were all so helpful and really friendly and all seemed to really enjoy making their guests feel valued and sought their return. Marvellous hospitable people!
