Visiting Dingle offseason (early December) has its advantages.
Some places were closed though most are open by the weekend.
The weather is cool and often wet but that did not limit our visit.
It is a great town with many choices for lunch and dinner and
the live music is available someplace nightly. The people are
very friendly and the beauty of the place is truly enchanting.
Once you have identified the one-way streets and found
good parking, driving around Dingle is not difficult. The
drive around the Dinge peninsula is easy - and do take
the side roads to the shoreline and various attractions.

An amazing Irish town on the coast.
An amazing Irish town on the coast. Full of lovely people, amazing restaurants and pubs. Lots of little shops to wander around too. Hire a car and travel around the coast to other towns. A weekend will not be enough.

The Irish foodie and cultural gem that should not be missed...
The Irish foodie and cultural gem that should not be missed and deserves at least one overnight in this colourful port town. Watch out for the numerous festivals held here throughout the year, with some amazing ones held in the later part of the year when most places are very quiet, try the October Féile Bia (food festival), or in November book a few days for the Film Festival, Literary Festival or Other Voices (absolutely unique festival).
As for food, there's so much choice here, the recently opened 505 Restaurant stands out as exceptional in a town with some of the best eating (Half Door, Out of the Blue, Doyles, Fentons etc) and drinking venues (Currans, Dick Macs, Foxy Johns etc) in the whole of Ireland.

Dingle is a beautiful place. There was much to see in the surrounding areas and it is close enough to enjoy a bit of sightseeing, yet far enough to enjoy a slower more relaxed atmosphere after a busy day. I would love to see the area in the spring.

Our stay at the Ocean View Inn was fabulous, our hosts Kathy and Sean could not have been nicer or more helpful. We loved the town and our cruise around the Bay with The Dingle Bay Boat Tours and our guide, Brandon with his accordion. We loved going down to the Bothar Pub within walking distance of Ocean View. And most of all the warmth of the Irish people who live in that beautiful country!

Music scene is awesome!
Music scene is awesome! Also enjoyed driving the Dingle Peninsula. Dingle is a very nice town to wander around and see the sights. Courtney's Bakery and the Dingle Tavern were two of our favorites.

The hotel room was small, but clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly upon check-in. Appreciated the large bottle of water provided in our room, plus the coffee maker. The location was good...close to the centre of town, so an easy walk everywhere. Dingle was very quaint and colourful, with lively pubs. Inch Beach was spectacular, as was the entire Dingle Peninsula coastal drive!

Absolutely love The Cloisters. In a wonderful location - right in the middle of Dingle town. The room was perfect - nicely decorated and clean. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom was better than many I have had in a hotel. Handy little shared kitchen downstairs also.

Amazing views over Dingle. Large and comfortable room. Easy to get to location with easy parking and access to town. Large bathroom with nice finishes. Very nice place to stay. Met all of our needs while we were there and some.

Stayed for one night and found the hotel to be in an excellent location close to everything in the town, staff were brilliant and breakfast was outstanding. Will definitly be going back there to stay again
