Eva took care of me upon arrival, welcoming me and giving me good advice for my short stay in the area on where to park for the Cliffs, where to find veg food in town, what to see, etc. She also happily came up with a very filling vegetarian breakfast so I could start my day of hiking and touring off right. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed for my overnight visit. I would recommend Churchfield and would gladly stay here again if I return.

The Aran Islands are a hop, skip and a jump via the Doolin Ferry and e-bike and standard bike rentals are fast and easy once you land on the islands. There are grocery stores in nearby Ennistymon 15-20 minutes by car. Fanore---20 minutes to the north---is home of the Caher Valley Loop Walking Trail. One loop is about 9 miles...the other about 10-11 miles. Spectacular views...worth the steep climb! It is quaint without being twee - the coloured houses are iconic. We enjoyed seeing them in the real and they are so well kept. The shops sell local produce - Aran sweaters, wooden goods, art, honey etc which are well worth buying. We were there to do parkrun on Inis Meain so we spent a day there. Anyone who likes being in the wild would be in heaven. The views are amazing and the peacefulness is palpable. The pub serves hearty fare and well priced. The ferry trip was great fun but we were lucky with the weather. Eating in Doolin at night is a lively affair with trad music on in most pubs. Such a great little town where you can get the true essence...
Such a great little town where you can get the true essence of the Irish culture with really authentic pubs playing live music every night. I'd reccoment both Gus O'Connors Pub and McDermotts, food and pints were great. The town offers free shuttle buses to the cliffs of Moher and then we did a beautiful cliffside walk back into the town. I couldn't reccommend it enough. Doolin's main attraction is the Cliffs of Moher. a walk along the cliffs is a highly recommend. Landscape and views are amazing. The town is very small and quaint. Great food and pubs. The locals really look out for each other as well which was cool to see.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Friendly, fun lots to do in a beautiful area. In two days we visited the Burren Smokehouse, went on the Doolin Ferry to see the Cliffs of Moher and Harry Potter's Cave, we visited Doolin Cave (a highlight), we played pitch and putt - twice, we listened to traditional Irish music in McGanns which had a great food and really fun atmosphere and fab staff. We had a drink at Gus O'Connors (again very friendly and fun) and lovely fish and chips at Russell's Fish Bar.
