The rooms were very well appointed: lots of power outlets, lots of storage spaces, robes and slippers, excellent shower, etc. The bed was very comfortable. The gym was better equipped than most typical hotel gyms. Staff was very helpful. It was nice to be able to get tea, coffee or a drink in the spacious lobby. While it is a bit out of the centre, it is right on the #16 bus route directly from the airport. A tram line is not far. Lots of restaurants and pubs nearby, It's also an easy walk to St. Stephen's Green and the Grafton Street area. The breakfast is very good, and one does not have to order the Full Irish: the Continental is half the price and offers a great spread of breads, meats and cheeses, fruit, cereals and yoghurt. Given the quality of this hotel, the room rates are an exceptionally good value for Dublin.

Great History, Greenery & Pubs

A lot has changed from those Viking days, and Dublin is now famous for its literary history and the most green spaces of any European capital, making Dublin a real Irish gem.

Dublin Castle is at the heart of the city's history and Trinity College houses the renowned Book of Kells, a beautifully illustrated manuscript from circa 800 AD. The Ha’penny Bridge is the city’s most photographed landmark and the statue of Molly Malone celebrates the heroine of Dublin’s unofficial anthem.

Dublin is home to many important literary figures including Oscar Wilde, William Yeats, Samuel Beckett and George Bernard Shaw. As the famous location of James Joyce’s “Ulysses”, the city offers tours tracing the protagonist’s footsteps.

As one of the youngest European cities, Dublin has vibrant nightlife with the popular Temple Bar area and plenty of bars and pubs, which invite you to stay out until the wee hours of the morning.

So much to see and do, yes the pubs in Temple Bar area are expensive but the atmosphere is fantastic with such friendly people and great music. We visited the Guinness Storehouse and poured our own pint, we spent 3.5 hours in there, also did the Jameson Distillery tour, I didn't know I liked whisky until I went there. Going at Christmas time is magical as the city lights are fabulous. Very easy to get around on the bus or tram or if the weather's kind it's nice to walk along the river. Don't miss the Brazen Head which is so unusual with lots of little rooms, great food and music. Don't forget to find Molly Malone.

Great place to visit and check off a bucket list.

Great place to visit and check off a bucket list. Interesting history. 3 days was plenty to see the city of Dublin, however if you want to see other city/towns of Ireland, you could definitely stay longer. Must book for dinner on weekends as restaurants get booked out and pubs get completely packed like sardines, standing room only. Not a lot open early in the morning.

I really wanted to like this hotel. The building, decor and furniture are very cool in an understated modern way. Smart, not flashy, and very well lit. The room was good and the bathroom had an excellent sunflower shower big enough to throw a party in, with lots of hot wster. The staff were lovely. The location is conveniently near the end of the Luas (urban rail) line and, after a day of muggy heat in the city centre, the cry of gulls and cool breezes off Dublin Bay were a pleasant change. If you go from the airport by Dublin Express bus, location is just perfect. I would say, the location is quiet. Rooms are pretty small but clean and tastfully decorated. Good service, when we asked for the extra tea bags, got plenty. A decent pizzeria and Tesco express are just 2 min away, city centre - about 10 min. Haven't tried any food at the hotel, so no reviews about that

Location, near everything for a short visit in Dublin city. This is a very busy hotel. I also like that the car park is almost in the same building, it is very convenient for a city centre location. Breakfast was nice. One of the main attractions, the Christ Church, is across the road. The bells ring every hour.

Fairly good price for Dublin. Hotel is located in a very pretty suburban area with nice old buildings and tree-lined streets. Some decent restaurants about 10 minutes walk away. Not too far to walk to city centre, about 30 minutes, plus Drumcondra station and plenty of bus routes nearby.
