Dublin Castle is at the heart of the city's history and Trinity College houses the renowned Book of Kells, a beautifully illustrated manuscript from circa 800 AD. The Ha’penny Bridge is the city’s most photographed landmark and the statue of Molly Malone celebrates the heroine of Dublin’s unofficial anthem.

Dublin is home to many important literary figures including Oscar Wilde, William Yeats, Samuel Beckett and George Bernard Shaw. As the famous location of James Joyce’s “Ulysses”, the city offers tours tracing the protagonist’s footsteps.

As one of the youngest European cities, Dublin has vibrant nightlife with the popular Temple Bar area and plenty of bars and pubs, which invite you to stay out until the wee hours of the morning.

Dublin was central to everything we wanted to go visit.

Dublin was central to everything we wanted to go visit. We especially liked Giants Causeway and the Titanic museum in Belfast. The Cliffs of Mohrer and Trinity College, with The Book of Kells and The Long Hall were great things to see!

What a place to visit, so much to see and organise so that you make the best of your allocated time. In the two days, we managed Dublin Castle, Book of Kells, an Irish Entertainment night, Ireland v Japan in the Rugby and the EPIC centre.

Dublin is entirely walkable with transportation systems to support travel to all major cities, towns and Dublin’s seaside villages. Howth was 25 minutes train ride away for 5.2 euro Round trip. The Dublin Express airport shuttle is readily available and inexpensive. My goal was to not rent a car and it worked for four weeks at a very reasonable cost as a solo traveler. I went to Nenagh, Ennis, Cliffs of Moher, Galway, Aran Islands and back.

Walking in Dublin is brilliant... O,Connel Street, Temple Bar, Trinity Collegeandalong theLiffey to Pheonix Park. Take in the Guinness Storeroom, the Book of Kells and the Rock and Roll Museum shouldnt be missed...theyare exceptional. A sail on the river is interesting and relaxing lots of good eating places... If very expensive with the exception of the CHines Buffet half way up O,Connell Street. Walk to Grafton Street ... Good shops, buskers and the beauttiful Bewleys Coffee Shop. Walk on to relax in St. Stephens Green... lovely park. Go and sing with Molly Malone.

This is a little gem of a hotel in the centre of Dublin City Centre. Location perfect, room fabulous and spotlessly clean. The front of house staff were so friendly and helpful, we had a quick chat when checking in, telling them we were in Dublin for a show, when we came back to our room there were two little boxes of chocolates for us, with a note hoping we enjoyed our show, what a beautiful touch and much appreciated, Thank you.

We had a fantastic stay at NYX Dublin! The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable, with lovely views over the canal. The staff were very friendly, and we were pleasantly surprised to be selected as “guests of honour” complete with a bottle of wine and chocolates in our room, plus free late check-out and breakfast. The hotel is only a short walk from the city centre, which was really convenient. Would definitely stay here again!

Just across the road from the Bord Gais Theatre, parking at nearby car park was discounted for people staying in the hotel. Very convenient to city centre. The food was very good, we had dinner and breakfast, very nice bar. We didn't use the leisure facilities but great option to have. All in all it is a great base for visiting Dublin and I've stayed here lots of times.

Visited Dublin to attend the Donegal Vs. Meath GAA Semi final. Location of the hotel was very good for the city centre & Croke Park. The room was a double, excellent bathroom, tea/coffee, biscuits, water & even a little box of chocolates! I'd easily recommend staying here. Free water fountain in the lobby to refill water bottles & ice machine are a nice touch
