Beautiful beaches and mountains great for photographs so much to do you will not get bored. Some beaches when the tide came in there was no waves and it was nice to float on the water relaxing or swim and other beaches had great waves
We were there in late October and the weather was poor so we didnt spend much time in the town itself but drove around county Donegal and spent a day in Gleveigh national park so I would recommend Ddungloe as a base to tour from.
Lovely village with a good selection of pubs & restaurants. Great choice of several beaches just a short drive away. The Pond ( an outdoor sea water pool just outside Dungloe ) was a different experience!
My family are from Dungloe so I am rather biased. I love it every time I'm there everyone is so friendly. There are lots of superb places to eat. My only criticism if it is that is the meals are huge, I had to have child's portions.
im from a small town in north carolina, its not as if I'm well traveled, but, dungloe has a restaurant with the best chinese food i have ever had, I did another review on the bayview bar there about 2 years ago. Being in hospitality for 47 yrs I'm kinda jaded about such things. And I have had 2 superior, noteworthy dining experiences in that sweet little irish town. That's a big deal for me.
Was there during the festival and and there was a great buzz about the town. Locals very helpful. The music in the Bridge Inn was electric with Fergal Flaherty from Tenerife there and Daniel ODONNELL popping in to sing a few songs. That was the highlight.
A lovely modern apartment in a great location. Mary met us on arrival and was very helpful. Lots of lovely little touches like wine and chocolate. Both bedrooms were large with very comfortable beds and plenty of towels. The whole place was spotless. There was a great selection of pubs/restaurants within walking distance. Dungloe has lots to offer in terms of heritage and spectacular scenery. Definitely recommend.
Great breakfast, lots of choices !! Served by sweet, friendly staff. Comfortable room with ensuite tidied up every morning by the housekeeping fairies !! Owners were extremely helpful with suggestions of nearby sights to visit, places to experience !! Dungloe is a central location for sightseeing the beautiful upper west coast of Ireland. We would definitely want to stay here again. Thank you, Anthea and Ken !!
This has to be the best holiday accommodation we've ever stayed in. A wonderful welcome on checking in, this lady is so warm and welcoming. Exceptional standard of cleanliness. Located in the perfect spot, within a short stroll of Dungloe's pubs, restaurants etc. Breakfast was perfect 👌. Will definitely stay there again if in the area, can't praise Radharc an Oileann highly enough.
Pretty much everything was great and we were happy with. Room was perfect, breakfast was lovely and it was a very easy walk into Dungloe from b&b. Host was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be first choice again when back in Dungloe
Great location, 10 Mins walk to Dungloe town and a great base for exploring Donegal. Homemade brown bread was a lovely treat on arrival. Very easy contact with host.
