There was a slight problem with our booking that caused a delay, but the owners were so kind and generous. They were able to resolve the problem and get us into our pod fairly quickly. The pod itself was cozy and quiet. The morning birds chirping were so peaceful. I loved it.

What a pleasant surprise! The photos, while nice, simply don't do this place justice. The townhouse is perfectly located, incredibly modern, and was spotlessly clean upon arrival. Communication with the host was perfect—prompt and helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend it.

The room and bathroom were beautifully decorated. The shared lounge is spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. We didn't interact with staff in person but Rachel sent helpful instructions about the property and everything was clear. It is not easy to spot the entrance from the road, so use the Eircode provided.

    Started our day off in Kildare Shopping Village - we did get some great deals however some of the shops had limited items Stopped at Tree House Sauna, amazing value fro money ad the views from the sauna were breathtaking! Stayed in the Silken Thomas, great value for money, amazing foo & lovely staff!

    quiet well appointed cheerful spotlessly clean with every accoutrement you cd wish for, close to everything, easy parking, super friendly welcome supplies, grand shower with lovely warmth snd pressur, gorgeously fresh bright bed linen …seriously youd be working hard to find any fault here… a bonus is spirited bird chat at various times of day which i reckon is a further sign of a terrific location.

    We were attending a concert in Dublin but did not want to pay Dublin hotel prices so Kildare and the Kildare House Hotel was perfect. We got the Green Bus from Kildare Village into the city center. The Kildare village Outlet was great for shopping the following morning.

    Kildare is a small town, has lovely square with plenty of seating areas. Few shops, and nice cafe's with great food there. 10mins from the Shopping Village if you like shopping. Relaxing and friendly there. Would stay there again.

    We loved it.

    We loved it. Visited the local sites including Japanese Gardens, National Stud farm, Newbridge Silver, shopping Village, local Churches and restaurants lovely. Friendly locals, good shops and mainline bus service from Square. Close to The Curragh too - great spot.

    Silken Thomas is a lovely place to stay for a short visit to Kildare. It is in a great location and near to Kildare Village, Japanese Gardens and The Curragh Racing Course. I would be happy to stay there again but on arrival I would check for a bath plug and no dangerous chairs.

    Property is absolutely stunning! Has given us inspiration for our own interior design at home! Finished to a very high standard, beautiful furnishings - both homely and luxurious. Fantastic shared kitchen and living area was perfect with everything we needed. Bedroom was tastefully designed with a stunning bathroom. Hosts super welcoming, very helpful information pack and property was easy to find with free parking. Perfect for a weekend in Kildare - close to the shops and local attractions! Perfection!

    A gorgeous hotel in a central location in the heart of Kildare. All rooms are on the first floor. There is a lift, which we appreciated as we were travelling with my elderly mother-in-law. The café underneath is lovely - very comfortable place to relax and dine. Rooms themselves are very well decorated with a lot of care put into picking the furnishings. The deep rich teal on the walls is very luxurious.

    Room is beautifully decorated. We stayed in a cute converted carriage house room. We stayed here because it was cheaper than staying in Dublin before an early morning flight. However, Kildare town itself doesn’t really have much to offer. This hotel is nice though!
