This is a very special vacation stay. The facilities were great. Food was excellent, staff were super friendly. The ambience was just what was hoped for. A great wedding venue or spa break. Thought the lodges were same as carriage rooms no great difference. Stayed in both different times. Fab for an irish castle wedding as destination venue to couple from abroad. Birds of prey on site too. Wedding planner seemed very knowledgable she was chatting to a potential b and g. I loved the food, especially the fine dining at the castle. The atmosphere was amazing, great bar with a range of good cocktails, very friendly and welcoming place. Lovely warm and cosy castle hotel, friendly staff, excellent reception staff and very enjoyable dinner and breakfast in 1180 room. Bar prices very high and glass of wine with dinner was way overpriced at 20euro for half glass wine.
