On the banks of the River Nore in the heart of the medieval city of Kilkenny, this 4-star Kilkenny River Court Hotel offers free WiFi. The location couldn't be beat. Ten minute walk to the train station and less than that to where all the action is. The beds are comfortable and clean and the breakfast was fantastic. Would book again

Welcome to Kilkenny House Boutique Hotel! We’ve recently undergone a complete renovation of the property and are excited to welcome guests back to the hotel. Very clean, comfortable hotel just outside the city centre in a quiet location. Great for walkers who don’t mind a 20 minute stroll into town. The staff were very helpful in recommending places to eat and allowed us to leave our car parked and stored our bags even after check out.

The Castle, Rothe House, various museums, cathedrals, churches and good shopping. We ate at Rive Gauche (Excellent, the best!), Petronella (Excellent food but slippery floors. Great proprietor), Langtons Hotel (Good food at reasonable prices) and Ristorante Rinuccini (Over priced and a bit pretentious). Kilkenny is a small city and easy to get from a to b on foot. also various car parks with ample space.

Kilkenny is a great place to visit.
Kilkenny is a great place to visit. Plenty to see & do., both culturally or for shopping. Plenty of parking just keep in mind it is pay & display. The castle is right in town, with plenty of places to eat. We had lunch at the Fig Cafe. Food was very good.

Kilkenny is a most magnificent medievel city, with many of the early buildings still in evidence. The castle and St Canice CofI cathedral are well worth a visit. The city is good for shopping and there are very many good eateries, for a main meal or just a snack. The place has innumerable pubs.

We were very happy with our few days in Kilkenny, we had a fantastic host in Knockreagh cottages who went over and above for us, had the house fully stocked, text before we left and sent us all the required details, easily contactable, and the games, bar, sauna and jacuzzi were definitely a step above. Kilkenny is a fantastic city to explore, loads of history, our highlight was definitely the smithwick tour, Megan was our fantastic tour guide who made it very enjoyable and informative. We will be back

Staff in the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. The location is great as it's in the city centre. Breakfast was lovely and a good choice. Room was nice but basic enough. Beds were very big and comfy which is a great bonus. The staff make this hotel....from the reception staff, bar staff (night porter was lovely and friendly) and the staff in the breakfast room they were all fantastic.

The hotel is lovely and food in the restaurants was excellent. However, the breakfast was quite poor which was surprising in a 5* hotel. Orange Juice from a packet, croissants/pastries straight from a packet (dry in the middle and a bit hard), fry very mediocre. No thought put into it at all - very disappointing and certainly not 5 star standard

Great Location in the City Centre of Kilkenny , Discounted car parking right opposite the hotel , with Kilkenny Castle just past the end of the street. Room was of good size and very clean. What little interaction i had with the staff in the hotel was pleasant , Staff at the ajoining gym / Swimming Pool very pleasant and helpful.
