This is a part of the country which I wouldn’t think of...
This is a part of the country which I wouldn’t think of exploring but I’m so glad I did. I was on my way to a wedding in Roscommon and we stayed in Longford which was within a half hour drive. It was lovely to be by the banks of the Shannon and I will certainly visit again. We ate in “The Purple Onion” and as we waited for our taxi to collect us the proprietor treated us to a nightcap on the house.Guest review byMaeveIreland

Perfect location in the heart of Longford town, within walking distance of everything it has to offer. Beautiful bar and friendly welcoming staff. Room and bathroom spotlessly clean and bed extremely comfortable. Great shower and curtains in the bedroom do a great job keeping the early morning daylight out, so you're sleep is not disturbed.
