We visit Family in New Ross. I am not sure it’s a town that you would want to vacation in although it’s not a bad base to get around to other places if you’re driving. I don’t think there’s enough to see in New Ross for an entire holiday. You could probably see what it has to offer in a day!
The rooms were very nice but had an issue with staying cool. Normally you wouldn't need A/C but went during a heatwave and couldn't get comfortable. The windows barely open and they don't have any fans to provide any relief. Wasn't much for breakfast, no hot food. Dinner was very good. Great location and convenient parking.
Nice town and easy to get around .People in town friendly and very helpful.Nice relaxed atmosphere in the town. The shops are nice and well laid out with good stock for a town its size.Business People are making a good effort to attract customers. We all need each other now and hopefully locals as we as visitors will spend a bit extra this year in the local economy and stay off the online shopping for a while.Loyalty is hugely important now.New Ross has the goods and just needs the necessary support all round
A quaint little town with lots of history. Enough to see to keep you busy in town and the surrounds. Definitely worth the visit. Walking around is easy to moderate. Some parts are quite hilly. Loved the Dunbrody Experience
not much to do in the way of evening entertainment during the day lots of historic interesting venues to see really beautiful spot. The attention to detail in the famine ship and the Ross tapestry along with the excellent cafes to eat really a shame it is not carried on into the evening.Lovely place to spend a day or two.
I loved the area and there are many things to do - I went to the Kennedy Homestead, Th Famine Boat Exhibition, and, further afield, the Hook Lighthouse. I spent time in Wexford at the Opera Festival, which was the main purpose of my visit. Near to there is the wonderful Johnstown Agricltural Museum and the beautiful Curracloe Beach. Waterford and Kilkenny Castle are on the list for my next visit!
The wide variety of breakfast options was very welcome. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The hotel was easy to find and the location was beautiful. We would recommend this hotel and hope to pay a return visit in the future.
