I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room. ,217 in my stay. Nice fresh comfortable bed with more than enough pillows lol 😉. Breakfast was buffet with plenty choice. I don't drink alcohol but the bar was lively and buzzing.
This hotel has cracked how to offer quality efficient friendly value service.

Really quite an amazing surprise.
I only booked as a sleep over on the way to Shannon. What a surprise to see it was a very professionally managed establishment. There was a bar and restaurant albeit we were not hungry.
The room had a four poster bed. It was so traditional but not contrived like the touristy castles. We slept so well in a fab comfortable bed.
The room was very big. Table and chairs, walk in wardrobe/ dressing room. It is a fine country house from a bygone Anglo Irish day.
It was Christmas week and there was a display of country Christmas hampers for sale with local produce in the lobby. Very reasonably priced compared to the rubbish in the big shops in Dublin. No pressure to sell either.
I would certainly stay again and hopefully have time for breakfast next time.
We loved it. Thanks to all the staff.

United StatesThe Studio apartment near Shannon Airport is a fantastic spot to use as a homebase while exploring the westside of Ireland. Judith was very accommodating and helpful with any questions that I had during my stay. It is a short walk to some shopping and restaurants. With that said, I would recommend having your own transportation; however, I am not sure that its entirely necessary.

IrelandEverything was great. The accommodation was spacious, well planned , equipped and tastefully decorated. There was a large living /dining area. Catherine provided fresh pastries daily to supplement all the great provisions left for a lovely continental breakfast. I particularly loved the available museli . There was bread, home made jams, ham ,cheese, yogurt , milk and orange juice available with a kettle and microwave. The bedroom had a very comfy four poster bed and the ensuite had a very powerful shower. I particularly enjoyed the no children policy in the Carriage Houses and the yummy extras of home made chocolates on our pillow . Thanks Catherine and Kevin for a lovely stay in your great apartments.

The room was freezing (as we're others) , the staff unhelpful and an unapologetic manager. Couldn't manage to get my rewards without multiple visits to reception (at least two other guests gave up) and got slapped by a 25euro charge for checking in an hour early .

Shannon airport is a hidden gem of a flying experience.
Shannon airport is a hidden gem of a flying experience. I highly recommend you use Shannon as your airport, especially for a holiday on Ireland's west coast. If you don't want to drive, it is well connected via bus to Galway or to Limerick, which has connections to everywhere else in Ireland via bus and train. If you do want to drive, you probably don't want to stay right in Shannon, but there is something for everyone nearby.

Airport is so efficient and staff are professional .Security is done so efficiently, a really painless experience and so much better that other airports. The local road system is a joy and well signposted. Our stay at Oakwood hotel was just lovely and staff were really great, always available and ultra helpful. The hotel was peaceful, comfortable and food of excellent quality.

We flew in to Shannon from London & used it as jumping off point to other areas in & south of Shannon. Convenient location. People we encountered were very friendly there, & really everywhere we went over our 4 days on the island.

We very much enjoyed are stay in are accommodation near Shannon Airport, we wasn't expecting it to be so lovely at Carrygerry Country House Hotel. It only took 12 minutes to drive to it from the airport and nicely welcomed at the door by Gillian and shown to are room.

The staff at Shannon Springs were excellent. Everyone, from check in to the bar & restaurant, were very friendly & helpful. This was our 4th night in Ireland my wife & I were flying out from Shannon the next day, so great location. 8 minutes to hotel & easy to find. Our room was clean. Room had a mini fridge, which was nice to have. Bar & restaurant on site was excellent.
