Located 3.1 mi from Skibbereen and St Patrick's Cathedral, Driftwood Country Hostel has barbecue facilities and rooms with free WiFi access. The property has a garden, as well as a shared lounge. We spent our honeymoon at Driftwood House, and we simply couldn't have chosen a better place! The owners were wonderful and provided us with everything, the room was comfy, the bed cosy, there was a TV set and board games in the living room and the kitchen was well equipped. And the best bit was the hot tub and the sauna out in the garden!!
Cathy's Sunnyside B&B is set in Skibbereen, 39 mi from Cork Airport. Free private parking is available on site. Every room is equipped with a flat-screen TV. Immaculate, well furnished B&B. Cathy one of most personable hosts on my 57 day trip. Yum, homemade bread part of tantalizing and tasty breakfast, which is tied for BEST breakfast on my trip. Cathy has gone beyond expectations in getting a hoodie that i left behind returned to me.
Marguerite's B&B is located in landscaped gardens, 2 minutes’ drive from Skibbereen and just off the main Baltimore road on the Wild Atlantic Way route. Margaurites place is beautiful. Perfectly situated in skibbereen and easy for me to travel all around the region. And Margaurite made me feel i was home. She is a wonderful and kind woman, even when I was late to get up on my last day, she made sure I still got some breakfast in me. I'm definitely coming back.
This stunning, 200 acre estate includes beautiful gardens, a 50-acre lake, and the fantastic Sky Garden crater. Fresh home cooking is provided, and guests can enjoy canoeing on the lake. We had a large room in the main house. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food was superb, especially worth having dinner here rather than heading into town. The trails and views around the estate are excellent. I would highly recommend staying here.
Located in Skibbereen, 9 miles from St Patrick's Cathedral, Skibbereen, Roaring Water Lodge has accommodations with free WiFi, a garden and a bar. THis place is like a dream.. Awesome staff, location is a gem.. The B&B run by Craig, that fella is a fabulous guy and helped us to explore this place to the extend possible.. amazing folks.
Glencora B&B is located in Skibbereen. The property is a 12-minute walk from St Patrick's Cathedral, Skibbereen. The bed and breakfast features a flat-screen TV. Perfect for what we wanted. Excellent location and lovely host. Breakfast the next morning was also great! Would highly recommend
Stayed at the Ilenroy House in Skibberrean - well situated (on the main street) and nicely appointed. Great breakfast to start one's day, too. Excellent location for my booked night kayak on the Lough Hyne with seakayaking.com team. Both Inn and night kayaking excursion recommended!
The Heritage Center and Lough Hyne provided informative history of the famine and stunning marine nature. we also spent a day in Baltimore and recommend the castle tour which is very worthwhile. The restaurant at Liss Ard and Mary Ann's in Castletownshend. In Skibbereen if looking for pizza try Jeff's wood fired pizza.
Not far to Mizen Head which Is lovely landscape and also of historical significance. The displays, walking paths, Mizen Bridge and seals on natural setting were wonderful to see. Plus Schull, floating bridge and beaches on the way to stop at and explore.
Nice West Cork country town , good selection of shops to choose I had breakfast in Paragon bar below hostel every morning which was tasty , Good coffee and gluten-free brownie and lemon ricotta tart also in Kalbos cafe beside the West Cork Arts Centre. Tea and sandwich in Fairfields cafe above their supermarket on Saturday morning , Riverside Cafe (North Street )which was very nice and great value (cup of soup and warm sambo) , West Cork Hotel also for food. Fairfields supermarket also have a great selection of artisan foods and seafood from west cork , check out the farmers market on a Saturday I frequented the pub Kearneys Well on North Street ,good place to meet local characters, friendly owners Ann and Tadgh who were helpful regarding travel bus times, travel sightseeing tips etc about the area of West Cork. A lot of history in the town , with the Irish Famine (Gorta Mor) and Skibbereen one of the worst hit areas. there is a famine walking trail , information from the Skibbereen Heritage centre .

Very very Irish atmosphere which is perfect because that is why I travelled all the way to Skibbereen. Room and bathroom both clean. Internet ok. Breakfast really good but way to much for me. Owner very attentive and obliging. No lift but barman was very quick to take my bag and carry two flight up to my room. Good value for money. Certainly recommend a trip to Skibbereen and enjoy a stay at this hotel.

We stayed in the lake lodge which was fantastic. The house and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Dinner in the hotel was delicious and great value. Little touches like free use of wellies, coats, all the rooms in the lodge and house etc really made the place stand out. Can't wait to return, think this would be perfect for a family reunion or event.

Everything! The host is amazing! The entire place is spotless super clean and amazing linen and bed, support comfortable and big rooms just like in the pictures. Our stay there was best I’ve had, even better than 4 or 5 star hotels with lovely hosts as properties owners that treat you like their own family. Breakfast was cooked on the moment upon request such a lovely host!

The house is in an ideal location to travel to see many other places in West Cork. Eileen, our host, was very welcoming and a very good baker! Thank you for your great hospitality.

Beautiful family! My father left his sweater. They knew where we were headed next and when we arrived the sweater was there waiting for us. They went out of their way to bring it to us. Good Samaratins! Highly recommend
