It was in an idyllic country location. The personal touch by the host and hostess were especially welcomed. There was ample space for a couple. They supplied us with coffee and milk and nibbles. We felt very welcomed.

The Lodge is located in Dunmore, within 13 miles of Claremorris Golf Club and 18 miles of Knock Shrine.

The Lodge accommodations were very modern and comfortable, although hiking luggage up the steps for an older couple was a little difficult. The bathroom, the bedroom area were more than adequate and in fact of interesting design being on the top floor. Mary, the lady who checked us in made it easy to get our key.

David, the host, was very helpful and nice. The cabin is very comfortable. Our favorite were the sheep that jiggle when they run, viewable outside the kitchen window.

Maureen was a gracious hostess who was exceptionally attentive to our needs. We enjoyed the comfy living room couch and wide screen TV on a rather rainy evening.

First, let me say that it is hard to please everyone but the Bothy makes an attempt. The place was clean and comfortable. We had a family of four and everyone was impressed. We made breakfast before we left and the kitchen had all the amenities you would expect. But wait, is that a Keurig on the counter? Yes it is and yes I had delicious coffee before we got back on the road. Upon arrival the host met us at the door to make sure we were taken care of and afterwards we were left alone to enjoy our stay. Now, there was one thing that really surprised me. I forget to pack my Q-tips but by the sink was a little bathroom pack with Q-tips. I stayed at high-end hotels back in the states and never remember Q-tips being supplied. The Bothy is a great place to stay.
