We liked that it was very easy to walk around the city and there were plenty of interesting things to see and do. We visited House of Waterford which was very interesting and the Medieval Museum. We had a meal in Emiliano’s Restaurant which we would recommend and would advise booking in advance.

The best way to describe Waterford is it's in transition.

The best way to describe Waterford is it's in transition. There's lots of building work being done, I'm sure in 5 years it'll be fabulous, just now it's decrepit. If you're on the hunt for beggars of hostile migrants then head for Waterford it's a world leader.

Waterford reminds me of Galway 20 years ago, it's unselfconsciously cool! There's a lovely laid back vibe with friendly locals, great coffee shops, lovely museums and a vibrant culture scene. We were here for the Lit Festival; a super arts event for young people! Waterford is small enough for you to be able to walk around with ease but big enough to be interesting. It's also close to great beaches.

There is plenty to explore in Waterford which is one of the most walkable cities I’ve ever been to. They have a great deal, a vochure for €20 valid for a year includes entry for up to 4 museums and a walking tour. It also includes a 10% discount in the Viking triangle cafe and silver smiths. I did the tour, informative and excellent value, also the medieval museum. The cafe is stocked with home baked goodies and I can recommend.

Quirky little town that seems caught between intentions -- a working town with some attractions is probably the best description. Waterford Factory tour was interesting if you are a collector. Some interesting museums and a nice Italian meal at La Fontana (good food, nice staff, make a rezzie!) Not a must stop.

I come from Waterford and the City has certainly come a long way. It looks vibrant and there was a nice atmosphere around the Reginald Tower area with music in the street and plenty of people around. Nice to see

Old school hotel with some modern touches, particularly the security in the form of needing to use your card to access lift/doors to rooms. The size of the room was great and quiet in the mornings, unlike some other hotels I've stayed in within city centre. Bed was big and comfy. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Service was exceptional from Sharon and John Luke at reception. Great place to begin your cycle on the greenway. The hotel is 1km from the cycle trail in a quiet rural location away from the busy city centre. Highly recommended.

it was within close proximity to the city centre, there was on sight parking too which was a help, the layout of the hotel itself was labelled clearly and easy to follow
