Except the dinner closed at 8pm and we were 30’ late because 45’ delay on arrival with Irish ferries. But we managed to find something just 1km from the hotel. Super friendly staff. There were lots of places to visit in the Wexford area. Johnstone Castle well worth a visit with very imformative and friendly guide. Hook Lighthouse also well worth a visit with an amazing, characterful guide. The Irish National Heritage Park a great place to learn about early Ireland and has picturesque lake and Our Lady Ireland very pretty with lovely church. Wexford town was lovely to stroll around, we dined in two lovely restaurants with top quality food and exceptional service. I found people genuinely friendly and helpful throughout and happy to engage and recommend where to go over the weekend. We hit upon some great live music with David Clarke and Charles Byrd in Maggie Mays definitely worth a mention, and managed a sea swim in beautiful curracloe to top it all off.Guest review byaineIreland - 10.0

Wexford town and county has so much to offer. Please research places to visit while visiting Wexford. The town was a pleasure to walk through with an ary of shops and cafes. Must of the tourist sights are within a reasonable travelling distance of Wexford town. I would suggest before booking a hotel read reviews. Enjoy your trip to Wexford and all it offers. An interesting, welcoming town. Some fantastic beaches nearby. The Irish Heritage Museum is close to the Whitford House Hotel and well worth a visit - lots to see, allow plenty of time. Johnston Castle and Tintern Abbey are among the many fascinating places to visit.Guest review bySusan - 10.0

Wexford is situated seaside. It has a beautiful port that is several hundred feet wide and lends itself to many kinds of group activities. It's perfect for walking and looking landward to the colorful town built on a hillside. The meandering streets throughout the town are perfect for walking and enjoying the many beautiful buildings. We took a bus from Wexford town and the driver was very helpful and gave us exact directions from the bus stop to our hotel. We stayed in the Whitford Hotel just outside the town and we availed of the pool and the jacuzzi and steam room which were very pleasant. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. We walked into Wexford town and spent the day checking out the shops there. We spent most of the first day in the hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall we had a lovely trip to Wexford, but the next time we will bring our Car as we would like to visit Hook Head. We would recommend a trip to Wexford to friends and familyGuest review byRita
