Wicklow is a historic town and still an operating harbour, in the vicinity of the Wicklow mountains. There's plenty of interest in the town, including the harbour area including the Black Tower, and the Old Gaol museum. There's pubs and restaurants to suit most tastes - I ate at the Blue seafood restaurant on the quay and it was excellent. The view of the Wicklow Mountains, while immersed in nature, an expansive property complete with Llamas, yoga studio, gardens and a peaceful ambiance throughout the building helped me relax after a very long journey. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Although the sunrise was hidden by clouds, we enjoyed the lovely views once the weather cleared. The location is peaceful and convenient for exploring Wicklow. Sophia was very welcoming and helpful.
