United StatesWhen I was online I had ordered two rooms but could only get one seaside view. When the manager saw that we were going to flip a coin on who got the seaside room he upgraded our friends room so we both had the same view and we would be near each other. The same manager was also working dinner in the restaurant and told us about a dessert that we ordered which did not disappoint. The food was amazing and the view from our room was perfect!

United StatesFreda and the staff of the Abbey View Coach House were great hosts. We were missing our luggage from our Friday arrival at Shannon and they were happy to wait for delivery of it. Even though it never came until our next destination. The Coach House was stocked with breakfast makings. On top of that Freda had left fresh crescents and other breakfast rolls at our doorstep. The rooms themselves were very comfortable. We would recommend Abbey View Coach House highly!

I loved stopping off and seeing the city walls. I did both the church audio tour and the clock tower gate tour. Both the audio tour and the clock tower tour were excellent and helped me to get my bearings. I enjoyed going for a swim in the local pool where the staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely visit Youghal again with my family in the future

I have driven through Youghal a few times, and stopped for coffee, but this was our first time to stay over. Unfortunately, we only had one night, but we would love to go back, especially now that the Greenway has been completed. It looks like a lovely, vibrant town - we couldn't believe how many people were out and about on Sunday morning (in January), running, walking, cycling and in the cafes. It looks like a very historic town too, full of amazing buildings and houses. And being on the coast is always a bonus for any town

Youghal is a splendid old town with a fantastic history. It also has one of the best beaches in Ireland with a lovely long boardwalk, ideal for prams and wheelchair users. It’s a wonderful place to swim too! There is a great seafood restaurant in the town - Aherne’s. Around or near Youghal, there are some wonderful places to visit - Ardmore and Lismore, and the lovely River Blackwater, to name just a few. Youghal is a good base from which to visit these places, though you would need a car to do that comfortably. I would highly recommend Youghal as a place to visit.

Wonderful place to visit that is close enough to Cork and Blarney Castle and far enough away from traffic and the bustle of a big city. Great location for families over summer breaks. Recommend to overseas travellers

I am probably bias as it was my mother’s home town. I love Youghal.
Having said that it was my husband’s first trip to Youghal and loved the place it’s picturesque views across the harbor and the friendliness of the locals was enough for us to book a return trip in September for a longer stay.

Youghal is located at a river estuary.
Youghal is located at a river estuary. It has a history - we stayed at the Sir Walter Raleigh hotel - and a number of historic buildings in town and on the water front. We stayed overnight. I had a long, interesting, exploratory trip along the boardwalk along a wide, blue flag beach. It’s a destination for family holidays, it’s well worth a stop on a trip along the south coast of Ireland.

The view from the sea view rooms is beautiful with early morning sun that you don't see til you open the curtains as the blackout is really good. In the evening then the sun is behind the hotel so it's highlighting the scenery in front of you. It has the kind of character feeling that you get in a period building and that new builds can't compare with. The staff were friendly and breakfast was cooked to order with buffet for cold items.

Jay was there to meet us on arrival and had been very accommodating with regards to us checking in an hour earlier which was much appreciated. The location is fabulous overlooking Youghal beach and very close to the start of the boardwalk. It's a fair walk (20 minutes) into town but we knew that when we booked so it was no bother. The beds were lovely and comfortable and the lounge area is great for a group.
