I stayed 4 nights because I attended a 4-day convention...
I stayed 4 nights because I attended a 4-day convention nearby. The antiquities at the Beit Shean National Park are definitely worth a day or half-day visit. Nearby is beautiful Gan Hashalosha (Sachne) spring with 28 C degree water and a small archaeology museum. A bit farther north is the Sea of Galilee. Beit Shean could be a good place to stay for a night or two on the way from the Galilee to Jerusalem or the Dead Sea, depending on how many days you will be in Israel. We were on our way from Israel to Jordan, so we looked for a place to stay in Beit She’an which is near the border. The apartment was perfect for our needs, very comfortable and clean. The family were so nice and welcoming with us. It was the Shabbat, so everything was closed, and they invited us to their home for an amazing dinner with their family. It was such a great and unique experience, Anita is an amazing cook and everyone was fun and inviting. We wish we had more time to explore the town more as there are some gems to see there.
