Israel’s tiny speck of Red Sea is squeezed between Eqypt (Taba) on one side and Jordan (Aqaba) on the other side. Eilat is a resort city for glamorous people lying on the beach and scuba divers under the sea who come together for superb sunsets and long, warm summer nights.
Many tourists use this 7 km stretch of land as a passage to the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt or onwards to Petra in Jordan. However, if you stay, this glitzy destination provides relaxation all year round at its numerous luxury hotels and beaches. Coral Beach is the dive centre headquarters with its spectacular coral reefs.
The Tayelet promenade is a place to stroll and search for the perfect restaurant or boutique shop. The southern part of the magnificent Negev Desert can be accessed from Eilat by 4WD tours or bus. This Bedouin territory includes the Great Rift Valley and the Eilat Mountains Nature Reserve.
The sparkling Gulf of Aqaba provides the perfect backdrop for local Israelis and international tourists to party into the wee hours. Festivals such as Red Sea Jazz and Red City during summer help to fuel the busy beach activities.
There are many seaside resorts and chain hotels on Booking.com. Backpackers and families are also provided with ample choices.
Our stay at this vacation apartment in Eilat was wonderful,...
Our stay at this vacation apartment in Eilat was wonderful, but there are a few important things to note for future travelers. Eilat is located in a designated military zone (DMZ), which means GPS and navigation systems like Google Maps and Waze do not function reliably. It's essential information for planning your trip.
Additionally, we encountered an unexpected situation with our drone. Despite our intention to capture beautiful aerial photos, we were unaware that flying a camera drone is strictly prohibited in Eilat due to military regulations. Our drone was intercepted, and unfortunately, we lost it.
For anyone planning to visit Eilat, be sure to research local regulations thoroughly and consider alternative navigation methods. Despite our drone mishap, our experience in Eilat was memorable, and we look forward to returning to explore more of this beautiful city.

Eilat is an amazing place to be in, there is always something to do, there are tourists visiting from all around the world all the time and the weather is sunny and breeze.
My advice to anyone visiting Eilat is not to spend all the time in the city but to book a trip to the nearby Timna National Park which aside of being a Geological Gem, houses the biblical Mines of King Solomon.
another great place to visit is Kibbutz Yotvata's Rehabilitation Safari where the National parks authority rehabilitates different endangered species native to Historical/Biblical Israel and re-interduces them back to the wild.
aside of that there's Kibbutz Neot Smadar which is home to one of Israel's largest Artist communities and of course, for Adrenaline junkies you can take a buggy/RZAR ride through the desert with a guide, or just go paragliding out in the sea
the choices never end in Eilat, and if there's one thing certain, is that you will want to come back again.

Good was excellent. Staff was great. Synagogue on premise was too small so they turned a dining area into a synagogue, which was great! Kids activities superb. Shows at night was a real disappointment, however.

Very nice beach promenade, good for strolling around after dinner. Plenty of very nice hotels and restaurants around. There are a lot of trees and flowers in the city, one of these is the terminal park which is very close to the mall. The underwater observatory is a must-visit. We were blown away by it. You can see the mountains of four different countries from its rooftop. Spending a whole day there is recommended. The botanical garden is also pretty good, can be covered in an hour and a half with lots of nice photo opportunities. There are snorkeling etc. water activities, and a bird-watching park as well, but we did not get to visit those due to time constraints.
For 1 or 2 nights it’s a good location. Bad view.
if you want to be near the bus station going to the crossing boarder to Jordan early in the morning.
Just cross the street from the station and you’ll find the hotel.
Also not so far walking distance to the beach. , shopping mall and area’s to eat. The is a burger spot right at the corner. Nice guys and good value for you money!
The apartment is located within a closed gated complex with internal parking.
The apartment includes all amenities needed for the expected type of stay, including two very big smart flat screen TV's.
The location is excellent and is withing walking distance from the center of Eilat.
It includes a balcony and has very nice partial sea view overlooking the northern hotel promenade.
Staying in this hotel at least twice a year for a long time already . Best location in the Eilat , sea, promenade, shopping and restaurants. Great breakfast and very nice staff . Guys in the restaurant always very helpful and friendly. A lot of parking just right next to the hotel . But we are walking everywhere by foot .
Perfect location, spacious and comfortable room with delicious sweet and frute plates every morning, nice beach, exelent food, 5 stars service - many special thanks to Nofar Solovey for personal approach. We definitely recommend Herods Palace for stay in Eilat.
The hotel is in the best location in Eilat, just across the main walking boulevard.
The facilities for teens boys are amazing with many Playstation 4 stands and chip arcade.
The breakfast is one of the best in Eilat.
