Loved the city. Always felt very safe. Saw kid walking alone at night. Our guide told us the inhabitants of the city don't put up with misbehaving and a woman could walk almost anywhere alone at night without fear. In the Old City market, some store operators are pushy. Remember to just say NO. Old City was crowded and we avoided it by starting early in the old city. So much to see and so many options. We took a 2 day excursion to Jordan and saw Petra - book the excursion with a group there in Jerusalem and they took care of all details.
Old Jerusalem was the best part of our trip. Saw the places we wanted to. food was great! People were friendly and open. Everything we wanted to see in Jerusalem was within walking distance. Helped us get into better shape. Would recommend to anyone interested in going.
The Old City is fascinating but the constant requests to review the "family handiwork" can get irritating. Masada is a must see but the tours offered do not allow sufficient time to appreciate it. The Dead Sea option can easily be outdone by the public beach at Ein Bokek but it is a longer distance from Jerusalem and the tour packages do not get commission so they take you to a private beach and the access to the sea is very difficult.
No other city like it- a mix of old and new, antique and modern, religious and secular and many wonderful things and people that would take a lot longer than this page to describe. Very helpful people with most speaking English.
We enjoyed all the sights we visited. The Old City and Western Wall. Yemin Moshe very beautiful and a lovely little wine venue near windmill which was excellent value and in a superb position for sight over valley to Armenium Church. Mamilla Mall good for smaller restaurants but not always the best food. People watching is good to do. There is nothing negative to add except watch out for taxi drivers that will not put fare on meter.
Jerusalem is the crossroads of the world. 5000 years of human progression can be traversed in a day. It is fascinating and humbling. A great many groups of people claim it as their own. The tension is palpable. And yet there is also great accomodation between the groups. The overlapping layers of coordination, competition and open hostility are frustrating, confusing and exhilarating in equal measure. Some will find a transformative experience. Others may feel great discomfort. None will leave indifferent. The stone streets are irregular, the walls ancient, the aromas enticing. Some will be concerned for personal safety. The concern is overblown. The opportunity to see the span of human history distilled into such a small area is not to be missed.
Beautiful exotic interior. Very kind and helpful stuff. Big bedroom. Location just some steps to Via Dolorosa. For buffet breakfast only 25 ILS. Great roof terrace with whole Jerusalem view (what is very important, when you live in tight busy old city). Real Arabic hotel (and be aware - no alcohol in hotel, no-married couples not allowed). When you want to stay in old city center, in my opinion this hotel is the best option.
King David is an exceptional place for a luxurious stay, the service is at the highest level, the staff is very polite, attentive, and professional, the real 5 star hotel experience. The breakfast is very rich in choice. Our room was big and comfy, with a great view of the Old City, very clean, and the cleanliness was kept during all stay (3 nights). Any request we had was fulfilled in a few minutes.
I have stayed at the Lady Stern hotel a few nights already. This is the best hotel i have been to in Jerusalem to date. Its uniquely and beautifully decorated. The staff is welcoming and responsive and they look after you with anything you need. The location and the existance of parking are very handy. The breakfast is exactly what you need. I will come again.
Jerusalem
Whoever visiting Jerusalem should be staying in the old town to get the real vibe of the city. This hotel has a great location in the old town, it is very modern and comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to get the real Jerusalem experience. Special thanks to Efraim, Reem and the hotel manager, they made me feel home away from home 🙏❤️
Best hotel ever and great location, Eli the owner was amazing he looked after us so well, he always asked how our day was and if made sure if we stayed hydrated, I had a sore back and was constantly asking if I was ok! Thankyou again we loved Kaplan hotel and Jerusalem, we will miss you and your beautiful dog Mrs. Joystick!
just good for value of the money. The bathroom is not well displayed as the water goes everywhere. The room is small and not well clean and lots of imperfection in the wall. I would not recommend it if you are looking for something good or great. there are definitely better hotels at the same price or cheaper price.
Jerusalem
Hotel is a little funky, out of the 60s, but pleasant and comfortable. We were there during Passover, so breakfast was just so-so without bread products. Location is very good within an easy walk of the old city. Rooms are quiet. Hotels near the old city center are pricey, and this is one of the better deals.
Jerusalem
The best location to visit the old Jerusalem and to enjoy the nigthlife in the new town. We really thank you the girl at reception for the taxi she cold (Maamon, the name's driver). He drove us to some magic places (The palestine wall, the Banksy hotel, etc etc..).
Our stay at Albi hotel was absolutely fabulous! What a fantastic place to stay in Jerusalem, right in the middle of the city and walking distance from Mahne yehuda market. Our suite was super stylish, spacious and comfortable Highly recommended!!
Jerusalem
Hotel room is so spacious and great staff and buffet. It’s not completely next to the main hub but just a short distance. I stayed in a few other hotels 4 stars in Jerusalem and facilities/room much better
Very nice hotel, it could be a little cheaper, just a little, because anyway Jerusalem is pretty expensive! But otherwise, everything nice , clean, good breakfast , good location !
The strongest water pressure in Israel. Shower was great compared to other hotels in the country. Best reception staff. They all dressed very well and elegant.
Clean, incredible location, amazing room and facilities. The staff are super friendly. Value for money is very good. Definitely best boutique hotel in Jerusalem.
-The hotel is well located for public transportation in Jerusalem. -Unexpected limited free parking! -Check-in was quick and efficient.
Lovely, peaceful hotel in old city near Western Wall. Tasty, traditional breakfast. Best value for the price.
4 star hotel, good breakfast
Great atmosphere. Authentic decoration. Fantastic food. Superb swimming pool. Last but not least amazing staff!
Traveling in January 2022 during the Omnicron variant of Covid-19 meant there were few crowds wherever we went. Ramat Rachel which is our favourite hotel in Jerusalem exceeded our expectations by giving us a room upgrade. The staff were exceedingly friendly and the facilities were wonderful. We were on a Bed & Breakfast plan - the variety each morning was rich and diverse. Equally enjoyable is the nearby indoor swimming pool that guests can use during the winter with Jacuzzi and steam rooms. The location is a bit remote from centre of Jerusalem - but the views of Har Homa and Tekoa are worth the distance to us.
Valle service, the staff, the breakfest.
This was a return visit. When we first arrived everything was buzzing and busy as normal. Every detail in the room has been thought out and was perfect. Fantastic Friday night meal packed and like a banquet. By Saturday lunch a little quieter but still fabulous. Staff all polite smiling and helpful. Synagogue service busy and lovely. Executive Lounge kept going right to end of our stay, though I was sorry we could no longer see the Old City Walls and the Liberty Bell Park because of the new building. The Spa and pool are amazing and they were fully operational. The shops and lounges were still busy. Room service could not be faulted. The staff were all very positive, understanding and reassuring considering the world outside as we know it is collapsing. The Purim Parades may have all been cancelled but the Inbal is in such a wonderful position there was still lots to do as the tourists all left to catch the last planes before the borders are completely shut. The staff were wonderful, smiling and encouraging. This was a beautiful optimistic place to be for a wonderful holiday right until the moment we left. When the virus has run its course this is where one should come to celebrate a Thanksgiving holiday.
