Hotel in Nazareth
Set in southern Nazareth, overlooking the city and Jezreel Valley, Golden Crown is a large resort and conference centre, offering a swimming pool, free gym and excellent public transport links. Breakfast, bed, thats is all. Spa center 10/10. NEGATIVE : Entering the Golden Crown Hotel, you find yourself in a beautiful lobby, which makes you think of a good hotel.Unfortunately, it is not.Yes, unlike many hotels in Israel, it is clear that they are trying to clean the rooms, and breakfasts and dinners (for which you pay separately) are really tasty, with a variety of different foods to choose from. But this is not a panacea for a good place. Let's start from the very beginning - the beautiful Golden Crown Hotel is located in a residential area of the city of Nazareth, this city is so-so, very dirty and full of marginal personalities. When you leave the hotel, you will just go to the road and wastelands, because if you go to this hotel, you plan to spend your main time there. For these purposes, the hotels have a spa center - Crown Spa and a gym, which are really a 10/10 place, but we are not talking about that. When you buy a room that is not cheap, such as Business Class, you expect the spa to be included in the price of your stay. But no,imagine my surprise, even if you live in this hotel in rooms that they consider to be among the best, you pay for the spa separately! Staying at a hotel doesn't even give you any discount on a spa trip! A greedy owner is greedy in everything, but more on that later. We arrived at the hotel - and we were put into a room, we were immediately surprised by several things, firstly, I could not pay for the spa from the reception, and secondly, I was offered to go down with all the things to the spa and arrange with them myself, instead of calling them from the reception and negotiate for me. Lack of service from the first minutes. When I go down to the spa, dragging 3 bags along, and by the way, why don't the hotel staff carry my bags to the room themselves? Or I didn't buy a Business Class room from them?

A great place to stay, Michel is a great host, nothing was too much trouble. Accomadation was great, washing machine etc which helped. Great location. Free soft drinks. Very clean great place to stay.
Very busy street traffic thankfully not near our hostel. Dirty streets and lots of stray cats ripping into dustbins and strewn rubbish. Interseting to visit the Church of the Annunciation, Mary's Well and the Orthodox Church of the Annunciation but Nazareth seemed like a place that only needs a very brief viist. As we found so many other wonderful places in Israel we would recommend only a very quick visit into Nazareth. Had a really good meal in the Tishreen.rest.co.il on St Marys Well 56 St.
Nazareth was a very nice place to visit - people young and old are very helpful and friendly . even waiting for a bus people were very helpful and the drivers too. there is a lot of diverse food choices .
Nazareth is a great option for travelers who prefer a laidback stay in Israel. The city's rich history can be seen through its churches and old market. It is also a great start if you are a Christian and is interested on the earlier life of Jesus since Canaan and Capernaum are a 30-45 minutes travel by car. The only downside of the city is the traffic especially in the center because of the narrow streets and the driving discipline of the locals.
1. The city itself is a nightmare to drive: roads are barely wide enough for two-way-traffic - the locals park along the roads so you're forced to wait/play chicken with oncoming traffic - also are an up-and-down- roller-coaster (Nazareth is on hills) with innumerable speed-bumps. If you don't drive Israeli-style (aggressive) you'll never get anywhere. So HIGHLY recommend you get to where you're going and then park your car (MAKE SURE you drive a compact - the side-roads only accommodate very-small-cars and it's one-way-traffic with hairpin turns to get to most BnB's). Do your sightseeing on-foot using local buses/taxi. Finally ... ENSURE the place you're renting has parking for you!!! 2. Church staff can be rude (which surprised me ... had a priest who spoke English with an American accent blow-me-off when I greeted him with a "Good Morning"). I was raised Roman-Catholic ... the priests I remember were always friendly and considerate. 3. Locals are very friendly and helpful (we did not encounter so much as one rude person - all were helpful). 4. Be careful what you pay for something from the street vendors (we paid 40 Shekels for two large pomegranate drinks and a few blocks later were offered the exact-same-sized-two-each drinks for 20 Shekels). 5. Food is good and some may find it a little expensive but I would say no ... we had a spread for four of us (big platter of barbecued/smoked lamb - innumerable plates of different salads/vegetables/different sauces & dips - baskets of their falavale (probably spelling that wrong) bread - 6 beers for roughly $120).
We reached Nazareth by Egged bus from Jerusalem which worked great. Our apartment was located in a narrow street close to the market area and we were able to walk to all sights- a large benefit here. The main attractions of Nazareth can be discovered within a full day. There are plenty of restaurants and as the town is mostly arabic, you find closed shops only on sundays. We believe that most tourists come in groups with organised tours, for individual travellers its a bit harder to get around. We were surprised that there are basically zero rental car services, which we were hoping for. Most busses start from the central bus station but some dont- in that case, you will pay a lot to get a taxi that takes you to the desired bus stop if you are unable to walk there. The main roads are crowded with cars and there a only few proper sidewalks, which was disappointing. It can be very noisy in the evenings with cars and especially motorcycles that are showing off..
Nazareth
Excellent location near to everything we wanted to do and see in Nazareth. The hosts, old Mr Michel and his manager Emil(?) are such friendly warm people that I had flashbacks to old friendships I had. The architecture of the house and the neighbourhod are so interesting. Michel's House has its own area in a parking lot and no parking fees. The breakfast was tasty, healthy and filling even for a person like me did not enjoy Middle Eastern food that much.
Nazareth
Our host, Khalil, was very helpful and friendly. He was also very easy to contact when there was a question. The apartment was also very conveniently located and it was possible to walk to most of the sites in Nazareth. We had a beautiful kitchen which enabled us to cook meals made with local meat and produce. There were produce stores, butcher shops and a fish market within easy walking distance.
Nazareth
The best experience of Nazareth was the helpfulness of the owner, he is such a terrific guy! Always available to give information and to satisfy my requests. He deserves a particular mention. The property is right in the old city, close to all attractions and amenities. A very nice breakfast is served on the terrace.
The hotel was so hospitable and the staff was incredibly accommodating. Excellent location! And was far better than going to a conventional hotel that’s super impersonal. In fact, Raz took the time to give us great recommendations and point us in the right direction. Thank you Raz for welcoming us to Nazareth!
Everything! The appartment is cosy and clean. The house is beautiful. We just stayed one night, but this place is very comfortable for a long stay if you don't mind the long road to the hill . The location was very good, we had a good sight on the top of the hill. We could look over Nazareth.
Nazareth
It is a very comfortable apartment located in a house in the centre of Nazareth. It is clean, spacious, and well-equipped. It is located nicely - a walking distance of the city centre. The host is very helpful and easily reachable via Whatsapp. Check-in/check-out is super easy.
Perfect location, just 2 minutes walk from the center of things and from the market. Only 10 minutes walk from the cathedral. Great value. The rooms have nice view over the cathedral. The room is clean and the staff is very welcoming. Will be happy to stay in the hotel again.
Great hotel, great food , service and facilities. This is our second time staying here, we rarely revisit places but we definitely will be back. The restaurant on the roof was a pleasant surprise, the barmen were amazing they served great drinks and knew many bar tricks.
It is a nice hotel good location and with a very nice and supportive personnel. The secured parking space is also great if you are driving with your own car.
Nazareth
Calmness (I think I was the only guest at the hotel) and quiet location, very helpful and nice hosts - they even gave me a lift to the bus stop.
Fantastic location in Nazareth, 5 mins walk to the main sites. Stayed in room 708, which has a direct view of the basilica.
