IndiaI liked the fish fry and modak. Overall the food was delicious. Resort Location is walking distance to the beach. Parking space is available. Kids play area was saviour as my kid played swings and was there most of the time. Room were simple yet elegant, importantly neat and clean. Pool was huge along with the baby pool.

We were scammed into staying at a place far from where we...
We were scammed into staying at a place far from where we wanted. There was nothing in this area about 16km north of the town along the sea shore. There only one small shop withing 3-4 km from where we stayed. No restaurants. The so-called "luxurious" villa had broken ceiling fans, unregulatable ACs, full of mosquitoes, no supplies of bottled water, utensils, or tea/coffee.
We were however in a very green patch, full of trash everywhere, but enjoyed a 6 km walk down south along the beach which gets inundated on high tide - so we had to rush. The infinity swimming pool was nice.

We were extremely disappointed with the condition of Alibaug...
We were extremely disappointed with the condition of Alibaug Beach. The beach was very dirty, and the water was a murky black color. This made it impossible to enjoy swimming or even simply relaxing on the sand. My child was especially upset by the poor condition of the beach.

Nice place to spend 2 days, visit beaches and long forgotten...
Nice place to spend 2 days, visit beaches and long forgotten forts of Maharashtra. We visited Kulaba Fort which was some distance from the sea and to be reached by boat. Awesome view of the sea. Also Nagaon beach which was clean and unpopulated.

One should avoid going to Alibaug beach.
One should avoid going to Alibaug beach. It is crowded and dirty. Please visit Akshi beach, Revdandada beach and Nagaon beach as they are cleaner and not too many people venture there. You enjoy more privacy

No options for Veg. food
Local or state authorities have not provided any attention to improving tourism.
Many hotels and resorts are located in dirty surroundings and roads are broken

Alibaug is just 3 hours drive (100 km) from Thane and it ideal for those who love sea, beaches and peaceful leisure hours - a break from daily routine. Beach is clean and there are plenty of options to stay form budget to luxury hotels. You will get mouth watering local food and ideal for fish/sea food lovers.
