Lakeside Suites is a real gem in Kolkata. It's the southern part of the city, which is less busy but well connected by bus, taxi or rickshaw to other parts of Kolkata. There are many shops, tea stalls and eateries nearby, and even phone shops to get a local sim. The rooms are very clean and spacious - both my wife and I had space to do yoga in the room- and there is a shared living room and kitchen per floor. There is freshly made Indian-style breakfast is served every day. The owner Manoj, his son and the staff were all very welcoming and friendly, and also very helpful in helping us navigate things like doing laundry, using train apps and finding things. I have to stress, though, that this place is super clean and there is even filtered drinking water available for all the suites. We had to stay an extra day, and they quickly accommodated us as well. All in all, a really nice experience that in all honesty we were sad to leave behind.

Everything. The place is incredibly cozy and perfect for having a peaceful rest, but also conveniently located making it easy to get to other parts of the city. Soumik, the host, goes way out his way to make you feel at home. His family is also incredibly nice, as is their beautiful and playful dog. We had a very late flight the day we had to leave and Soumik offered us a space to spend the evening comfortably, and we even ended up getting an impromptu cooking class with him on how to make curry. Our stay couldn’t have gone any better. 100% recommended.

Very good ambience and nicely maintained. Everything in place. Kitchen is full of amenities. Fridge, induction, hot water kettle, bread toaster, gas stove, utensils, Aquaguard etc all are available. Feels like home away from home. 3 spacious bad room with AC and geyser Extra bed also available. Cloths are cleaned and extra bed sheet also available. Spacious dinning hall and a drawing room with TV Overall good stay not at all disappointed. Very good.
